Location is fantastic with a short walk to the main centre of Goreme. Staff are very attentive and helpful in sourcing transfer arrangements and tours if required.

United KingdomThe swimming pool was a little in the shade and therefore pretty cold, although I'm sure it's more inviting in the summer months.
There are dozens of cave hotels in Goreme and surrounding towns and many of them looked pretty magical so it would be difficult to know which are better than others. We were very happy with our choice of Shoestring as the room was a really unique and special experience with lots of space, a huge, comfortable bed, jacuzzi and a turkish hamam-style bathroom, all inside (or partially inside) a couple of caves. Breakfast was very nice, with a fairly good selection of fresh and tasty food, although it would have been better with fresh fruit juice rather than concentrate/cordial. The staff were helpful with advice and support related to airport shuttles and balloon flights. Location-wise it is good: quiet and away from the busier parts of town, but also not so far and not so much climbing up from the main street.

IndonesiaJust the small thing, maybe because the room has the cave wall, the bathroom has a very cold floor. I could not stay in a long time for bath because my feet is always in pain when touch the cold floor in bathroom, and it didn't have the big carpet like in the bedroom (because the carpet will be wet). I suggest, maybe you can put the heater for the bathroom floor, so our feet won't in pain when we are in the bathroom.
The room is great! It's big enough for two of us, and has original cave wall. Even it's the cave room but it's not dark and also has many sunlight and fresh air from 2 windows. I really love the bed, the best bed we have ever had when we stayed in turkey! Had a really good sleep with the nice bed and pillows. The room is so clean. We stay for 2 nights and have a good price when we booked in the apps. The staff are really nice and helpful (especially the cute dog, Maya :)) And this place do have a beautiful landscape balcony for photoshoot! Love it!

BulgariaNot related to the hotel, but we did not know that the balloons would be cancelled 2 out of the 3 morning we were there due to bad weather (because to us seemed like perfect weather), and we missed them. When you arrive, make sure you check with the hotel whether cancellations are expected.
We were very happy with our stay. The location is amazing, close to the center. We had everything we needed in the room, and it was clean.

Great selection of breakfasts, great quality too. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The room my friend and I shared was perfect for our needs. The addition private balcony was the cherry on top. Was a perfect location for a private hot air balloon spotting.
