Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Some of the decor is starting to look tired; some of the repaired/renovated work is not as good as it could be giving some rooms a patchy look
The Staff are excellent always happy to help whenever they asked. The provision of the shuttle to the Reagan Airport and the Metro were a necessary addition and made the stay very easy and supportive. The Buffet breakfast was outstanding.

Not the hotel's fault, but construction just outside of it made it challenging to get in and out of the location. Hopefully it will be finished soon.
Great location, gorgeous views of Washington, DC. Rooms are spacious, with lots of natural light available from the large windows.

We paid significantly (over $40) more through Booking.com than we would have paid if we had just shown up at the hotel and booked a room for the night (this was really frustrating!!). Room was dated (cracked paint in the bathroom and some mildew in the corner of the bathroom). It is not in the best area, but we only stayed here as a layover for a repositioning flight (and there was a great and reliable shuttle to the airport). We also were unable to get Bonvoy points. I wish I would have just booked directly through the hotel.
Bed was quite comfortable. View of the Washington Monument was good. Room was very quiet. Water pressure was really good and all four of us had hot showers. Breakfast ($23pp) was excellent for what we needed. Everyone working at the hotel was very nice and helpful.

There’s no soap for face and body. No stationary to write down for thanks. Tha channel for hotel information was not working.
Location is good to go everywhere. Room is big and quiet.

The property was good but we booked as 4 guests and only 2 people was included with breakfast. I was informed that they only covered 2 guests but here in your booking it said 4 guest including breakfast.

Worst and rudest receptions that I had on my trip. Young black guy behave/looked like he dont wanna be there.

There were several amenities not working or suspended when I stayed, particularly no microwave, no room service, and no pool. For the price of the room, I feel there are other options in the DC metro area with more amenities.
The location was great and the room was very clean, with a beautiful view.

In the gym, only one of four treadmills was working and there was no water. Also, it took a long time for the water to heat up to take a shower.
Clean, comfortable, tasteful, high quality furnishings in the room. On-site restaurant has healthy, quality food options.

The parking is 32 dollars. Also got greeted for breakfast down at the Potomac Lounge, got seated, and before you know it, 50 dollars for two for a breakfast buffet. Wow!! Too much.
Absolutely gorgeous. Elegant lobby and Ballrooms. Cool little gym. The room is spacious and clean.

The building is old or outdated. Room temperature was hard to set (there were wall thermostats and another ac unit in the room). No bathroom vents.
Front desk staff were all nice and helpful. Pillows are really soft and comfortable.

We bar and restaurant or minimal. We would've preferred larger facilities with more of the menu selection. Prices for food and liquor were rather high, but probably typical for the location.

The tub was nicked or rusty in several places. The air unit made very loud noises at times... and, when we changed the fan speed, it then didn't really cool at times. It was VERY difficult to open and close the hot and cold water handles at the sink.
Gorgeous views of DC... Very helpful staff!
