The villas and views are stunning, and all staff we encountered were exceptional.

Situated on a hill, Tanote Villa offers spacious villas with a private balcony and flat-screen cable TV. This resort features an outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi access. We loved everything about Tanote Resort. Our room with its ensuite bathroom and terrace was spacious, clean and comfortable; the swimming pools were super enjoyable and the view over the Tanote Bay and its surroundings was absolutely stunning. The staff was amazing, friendly and welcoming; most come from Myanmar in search for a more hopeful future. A very BIG THANK YOU to all of them for making out stay so special; three brilliant days; what a treat! A side note on the food served at the resort which has been criticized in some reviews. As far as we are concerned, we found breakfast and the food served in the evening excellent. Overall, this is a stay we will remember. We will be back!

Very quiet location on a hectic island, you feel you are alone on Koh Tao. Great snorkeling right off the beach. Very good restaurant and great shakes! Awesome sea view from the restaurant and rooms. Super helpful owners. We were planning to stay 4 nights with our 5y old daughter but had to extend because all of us got sick (from before; nothing we caught there) and the owners took great care of us, bringing us medication from town and aking us several times a day if we needed anything. Very helpful and incredibly kind of them! Thank you sooo much!!

A sandy beach with lots of baby shark in the shallow reef sides nearby, a beautiful snorkel bay with lots of coral reef and fish in all colour and size. An amazing pool - the pool bar is one of a kind! Breakfast at the beach, and if you want - they serve lunch and dinner! The bungalows are beautiful, each with a different view. As they are spread along the peninsula, you always feel very private! The rooms are clean, huge bathroom - in our case with ocean view! The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, beach towels at the beach and the pool- as at reception. It was just great! Thank you Sai Daeng!

This is a special place. This hotel is on the best snorkeling beach in Thailand in my opinion. The cove where the hotel is located is the place where all the dive and snorkeling boats go, but if you stay at the Aow Leuk Grand Hill Hotel, you are right there, no boat necessary. Just walk into the water and you're surrounded by big colorful fish. Swim a few feet to your left and you're in a world of beautiful coral. The food at the hotel is excellent and reasonably priced (but be aware that the restaurant closes at 5PM; if you want to eat later you can order take-out to your room). The pancakes were great for breakfast. The units are basic, but the view of the bay as absolutely fantastic, and you can look at the view from your hammock. The water for the shower is hot. There's no A/C but the room cools off at night, and if you want it a bit cooler, you can open the sliding door. I had no problem with insects, but there is mosquito netting around the bed. The staff is helpful and friendly. As far as I'm concerned, if you love to snorkel, this IS the place to stay. Be aware that you will need to walk down some steep steps, so people who have difficulty climbing stairs might have a problem.

Situated 800 metres from the ideal Sairee Beach on Ko Tao, Chaantalay Hotel offers comfortable rooms and free WiFi access throughout. Property is lovely. It is kept clean and tidy. Room was big and cleaned regularly. Excellent shower and good breakfast. It is close to the town but far enough away to be away from all the hustle and bustle.
