Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town.
Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town. Decent beaches, both free and paid. A good starting point for hydrofoil travel to Ponza Island. From here there are hydrofoils that will take you there in an hour and a half. Other places only use regular cruise ships, but they offer a four-hour journey. There are many good restaurants with local fresh fish and seafood as well as local wines. A place worth staying for shorter and longer periods.MarekPoland - 10Scored 10

if you want to stay near Rome and have the benefit of a cooler summer atmosphere and a beach holiday this it , far better than staying Ostia or Fiumicino. frequent trains air conditioned and an hours journey rome for targeted visiting.

You can reach the center of town and the harbor in less than 10mn walk. This is a very typical Italian house and it feels like proper holidays in Italy; I loved it! The owner is very nice and kind, ready to help and give you tips to where to visit and go. The place is very clean and also quiet. Barely not heard anyone. There is also a little garden outside if you want to sit and relax. I would definitely recommend it !MarineFrance

Staff very friendly (special regards to Karlota). Parking. A wonderful view of the sea, the beach immediately after crossing the street. Hotel guests have a discount on the private beach. Close to the bus and train station. There are amall shops and many restaurants nearby. The center can be reached by easy walking (app 45 min) or by local buses. All recommendations!

No dirty carpet like other hotels I've stayed at, rather it was tile. In fact the bathroom was done in marble tile! The view of the beach and the Tyrrhenian sea from the balcony was stunning. The staff was great. They were there to clean the room first thing each morning after you left your room. Security was also very good. The outside door was always locked and you had a key to come and go.

The train station is very close so it is easy to go to Rome which is quite close. I want to admit that there is no loud noise from the trains. The view is marvelous, the air is fresh. There are shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants not far from the house. The beach is also 10 minutes from the apartment. The Host is very nice and friendly and always ready to help.

The pictures really don’t do this place justice, for one the terrace is waaaaay bigger than it’s appears and the beach is literally at your doorstep. Breakfast was served on a lovely terrace overlooking the town and the sea. There is a peaceful pool area. We were able to use beach sunbeds at a discounted rate and Cornelia even invited my wife Sue to a complimentary yoga session. We could not recommend this BnB more highly!
