Bromborough, where I grew up as a child, is an ideal location for visiting the local towns of Chester and Liverpool, as it is located on both train and bus networks, with frequently running services at very reasonable fares. The historic town of Chester, the Lady Lever Art Gallery at Port Sunlight, and Liverpool City Centre, with it´s many tourist attractions are all within easy reach. Bromborough itself, has a large shopping centre, just outside the village, but within easy walking distance, as well as the original village centre, with a wide range of shops and restaurants.

The accommodation is separated from the pub so there is no noise from people leaving the pub. The room was clean and nicely spaced. The shower was OK but as this was fed from the bath taps it wasn't very powerful but it did the job.

The bed was lovely and comfortable, had a great night's sleep. Lots of hot water for baths. As much tea/ coffee etc as you wanted, very welcome for avid tea drinkers. 11 o'clock departure a bonus. We didn't have the hotel breakfast as we met family later on for brunch in the pub. Food was fantastic, plenty, hot and well presented.

This is a conveniently located hotel and pub, offering a warm welcome, good pub grub, comfortable accommodation, plenty of parking and the best bit…really friendly and welcoming staff. Also feels very safe for a lone female to stay, they really care about safety. Great value for money with smiles!

The food dishes on the Pesto Italian menu and the cooked breakfast both are great. It’s convenient for driving to Bebington, Birkenhead and elsewhere in Bromborough. The dining areas are very attractive and the hotel is a historic property. The local countryside is lovely.

I stay in many hotels, air bnbs etc on a weekly basis throughout the year mostly for work and some pleasure This year I’ve probably stayed in over 120 different places and hands down I thought the bed and pillows here were the most comfortable I’ve slept on all year
