Kings Arms Hotel by Greene King Inns, hotel in Westerham

The Kings Arms Hotel is in the centre of the old English town of Westerham, 5 minutes’drive from the M25. Traditional food is served in the friendly bar and restaurant.

Although the building is tired in places the helpful attitude of the staff and the excellent food in the restaurant made this a very pleasant stay. We would have stayed longer but unfortunately they were full which shows how valued this pub is locally.

Set in 125 acres of formal gardens, this 13th-century double-moated castle offers luxurious yet modern bedrooms with free Wi-Fi.

The portions for the full English were a bit small, but the buffet made up for that. The lbreakfast room was amazing. I loved the little pots of jam and ketchup.

the room was clean, the beds comfortable and the staff helpful but the room was so hot it ruined our 3 day stay and we left a day early and were very disappointed as we were looking forward to this holiday very much. We could not obtain any compensation at all. The wifi was also very poor indeed and the staff explained this was normal.

Interesting history, quaint village, great food at The Grasshopper on the Green. Very friendly. Hever Castle near by, Churchill House, Sevenoakes and not far from coastal points such as the historic Hastings.

Stayed at Westerham as it's close to National Trust property Chartwell and convenient for the M25. There are interesting shops and quite a few eateries but some closed on Monday or for refurbishment. Check before going. Can recommend Tulsi Indian restaurant.

The state of the Days Inn grounds did not bode favourable for the first impression of Westerham. The Council need to have words with them about the general upkeep and monitoring of the area outside the reception/parking areas of the facility. Westerham is a beautiful part of Kent I know the area well as I have grown up in the area. But if hotels\motels are not kept to certain standards this will have adverse effect on the whole area.

General impression was of a potentially lovely town spoilt by premise that were empty or in general need of improvement. The town seemed in need of good hotels, restaurants and nice shops. There is a nice Italian restaurant and shop. There is plenty to enjoy in the vicinity, eg. Darwin's and Churchill's houses, and the Biggin Hill wartime museum and aerial activity.

The village has a beautiful statue of General Wolfe who was born here. At the bottom of the town is his home Quebec House, which is owned by the National Trust. The village has several restaurants and independent shops. Not far away is the lovely Hever Castle and Chartwell, the home of Winston Churchill.

Right next door to JetEx where I parked our jet Bus stop is less than 200 yards from the hotel Restaurant upstairs was very good. Noticed that the locals ate there regularly. Rooms were immaculate, the hotel is very well insulated. Did not hear the airport runway traffic at all. Staff is very polite, friendly and attentive. Mattress and pillows were very comfortable. I stayed 5 days and will stay there again in October.

Lovely location in centre of Westerham - good for exploring surrounding countryside and various National Trust properties. Nice little touches with milk, eggs and bacon in the fridge. Spacious flat with plenty of sitting space. Very comfortable beds, all 3 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with good showers. Private parking space. Louana was very easy to access and responsive to our queries.

We was travelling to Gatwick airport so stayed at this hotel the evening before the flight It was perfect for what we needed It was comfortable. Plenty of space for 4 of us and all our luggage. Gave reg and car was free to park. Didn’t book for breakfast as was leaving before it would have been on. Overall good stay at this hotel and would consider it again for another flight from Gatwick

Andrew and his staff were friendly and attentive. When there was a problem with WiFi in the room he made arrangements for me to take some important business meetings in another part of the premises. The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere in the bar and restaurant areas in the evenings was friendly. I was made to feel like a local.

In England for a family reunion and our location in Westerham was ideal as the majority of my family were staying in Sevenoaks, a 20 minute car ride away. Willow Cottage was very cozy, convenient and comfortable for myself, my partner and my daughter. Highly recommended......thanks again Laura Patty and David from Vancouver Canada 🍁
