Staff and Owners invited us into their very special hotel with grace and utmost care. Great advice for novice walkers, they gave us privacy to enjoy the hotel and its facilities yet welcomed us as extended family.

We arrived there 2 hours before check in and we kindly could check in even earlier than planned. The location is beautiful. Very calm atmosphere, beautifully decorated and you instantly feel very welcome. The room is very cosy, it was very clean and there were already homemade cookies waiting for us to be eaten :-) with some tea. The room is exactly as in the pictures, so is the whole hotel. Then we parked our car at the private parking which was gated and we felt our car was safe and only a 2min walk by the hotel. The village itself is amazing. Very calm and beautiful. Greta was such a sweetheart and made recommendations and reservations for the restaurants for dinner (Julia and Monilo), which we both recommend. She is such a kind person and so is everyone else. After we went to the cinque terre on the first day as a day trip, which is super easy to get to (train station is a 5min walk from the hotel), we had homemade cake waiting in the room for us. The staff really seems to be loving what they do. You can feel that. Now the breakfast, I mean where should I start. Everything was fresh, great choice and just simply super delicious. There‘s absolutely nothing negative about this hotel. Thank you to Greta and the whole staff that gave us such great memories to our babymoon. Keep doing what you do!

Breakfast, room, staff very good. WC very tight but ok. Dog in the neighborhood barking to much. Moskitos to much. But that’s not the fault of the staff of course

We had never heard of his place and said there to read a long drive from Rome. Moneglia is sort of an island reached by way of one-way tunnels. Once there it is a very cosy and small resort with much space for walking, bars and restaurants. We loved the Sunday morning street market and the locals were lovely.

It hasn't changed much in 50 years , very nice village hope it ll stay the same for like forever. Went there for a week made of quality time and relaxed strolling around the village , sitting on benches under a tree early afternoon or walking uphill on the way back to hotel at dusk ,rewarded by the gorgeous view of the bay once you get there . Food rolls back the years as I have Genoan heritage so had to be careful not to indulge too much with focaccia or pansotti or fritue... .

Moneglia is a charming little town in Liguria. It has a large sandy beach which is perfect for small children. Everything is within walking distance. Lots of good restaurants and shops. Cinque Terre are a couple of train stops away. We used to go to Sestri Levante very often but since we discovered Moneglia, we now have a second favourite place in Liguria. Highly recommended!

Moneglia is absolutely gorgeous.
Moneglia is absolutely gorgeous. It's bursting with the smell of jasmine and has quaint little European alleys and tree-lined streets with an array of restaurants, bars, and cafes to explore. I would highly recommend Element for their truffle pasta and Assirto for an incredible dining experience.

We've been going to Moneglia on and off for 30 years.
We've been going to Moneglia on and off for 30 years. Not too many tourists and a good place from which to visit the Cinque Terre and hike in the mountains. The sheltered beach is perfect for young families - it's like one big shallow swimming pool. The restaurants in town aren't particularly special - suggest a walk/bus ride to L'Uliveto and Pagliettini for excellent value. The view from Ruotola is spectacular. We always lunch at Bagni La Secca on the next door beach where the pasta a le vongole is extra special.

Moneglia is a beautiful town with plenty of shops and restaurants. I liked walking around in its lovely streets. You can choose among different kind of beaches, so it's basically for everyone. Streets of Moneglia are during the day very busy and due to small amount of parking opportunities is often almost impossible to park your car, especially on weekend. If you find a parking spot though, the hourly parking fee I found really expensive, so be prepared to pay, or try to avoid parking for longer period of time if not necessary. After all, I'd love to come again for sure.
The apartment is extremely well furnished, has a fully equipped kitchen and it is well looked after. It is clearly a well-loved family home. It was very comfortable and had great views over the town and of the sea. It's in a very good location close to the centre of Moneglia and the beach and well situated for getting the train to the Cinque Terre. The hosts had made sure we had all we needed to make our stay comfortable. Anna & Chiara were attentive and perfect hosts. Would highly recommend.
Great location- you can take train to cinque terre from the train station nearby!
Nice beach nearby (not busy at all), well maintained swimming pool, nice sunbathing spots. 3 min walk to town with restaurants and shops. About an hour drive to Portofino and Genoa.
Great breakfast!!! The homemade cakes everyday were delicious. Good coffee and choice of vegetarian options.
Comfortable bed and clean nice rooms with beautiful view.
Very nice ladies at receptions, we needed early checkout, and there was no problem with that. The hotel is 20 mins walk from train station and not even 5 from the sea. The room was very nice, the beds were comfy. We had a little kitchen in the room as well. Breakfast was great. We had salty and sweet options, juice, tea, and coffee. We really enjoyed the staying and had beautiful views from the balcony to the mountains.
The apartment was fantastic. The apartment was renovated recently, clean and had all the amenities you need to cook in. The location was a 5 minute walk from the train station and about 6-8 minutes from restaurants. We were recommended La Pagoda restaurant at the bottom of the hill for our first dinner and it was great as well. Moneglia is beautify as well - quiet and quaint, and easy to get to Cinque Terra by train.
This was a great adventure for our family, who is so used to hotels and Airbnbs. Same old, same old. Smeraldo is this unique little community--part camping, part quaint little bungalows that we called "tree houses." While it's a bit more rustic, simple, rough?, it was really a wonderful experience.
The quietness and the view from the appartement were perfect. The jacuzzi was a very nice extra. From Littorno to Moneglia you could go by foot. It was 20min to get in Moneglia, and 40min to get up to Littorno again 🙂. The public transport from Moneglia to Cinque Terre was perfectly doable.
The property is located on the hills and has a lovely view. If you have a car it is one of the best places to stay, but if you are travelling by train then the public transport in the city is a problem hence you might end up paying 20 euros for every trip back and forth for the cab.
In our opinion this place is the best option for stay in Moneglia. Beautiful view, just a few minutes by car from the city. The route was a bit challenging at first but than it became easier. The room was always clean and the hosts were very kind and helpful! Totally would recommend
Absolutely fabulous stay, family run you feel like home when you get there amazing food in the restaurant and the Tiramisu cake mamma mia best in the world 10000% worth it will absolutely be there again love love love it 🥰🥰 please stay there people you will not be dissapointed
Very nice small town with all the facilities, great location to visit Cinque Terre or simply enjoy the beach; appartment was recently built/renovated and terrace has a nice view, pretty isolated from the other people. Host was welcoming and easy to contact.
Moneglia wouldn't be so beautiful if it wasn't for Stefano's hospitality and the amazing service he provides. The rooms are cleaned every day, they give dishes, they help with the transfer. They pay maximum attention to ensure that guests feel comfortable.
This was our favorite place to stay on our trip to Italy. The hosts were friendly and helpful, the room was set up nicely with snacks and water, and the beach was about a 10 minute walk. The room was airy and had great views, and we loved staying here.
The location is great, close to Cinque Terre, not too far from the train station (8-10min walk) but not too close from it. Very calm, no noise at night. View on the sea!
The host Matteo is very helpful and friendly. Best host ever in my opinion!
The view of the surrounding mountains and the sea was the best. Also, the possibility to buy local products was great. Constanzo gave us a lot of good advice concerning Cinque Terre, his mother prepared delicious Italian meals.
located very close ta railway station (sometimes noise), there is possiblity of breakfast and dinner directly in hotel. Close to the centre and beach. Our stay was in studio with kitchenette with window to courtyard.
the hotel is very nice, clean but old. we didn’t realized theres no air conditioning which need to request ahead. it’s not very pleasant to stay without air conditioning in the middle of July w heat wave
Conveniently located, great breakfast in the morning. Easy to get to the train, beach and central
Moneglia. We traveled with an 8, 12 and 14 year old and we were able to get around easily.
