Wow! Wow! Wow! What a beautiful family owned boutique hotel. I had the river view (lower room), and it was amazing. I had a stunning view, a very comfortable large bed, a large shower, and plenty of room! The hotel is just a couple minute walk from the fountain/central location. The Wifi was good, I had several Zoom meetings during my stay. There were a couple of unstable wifi moments, but wifi never dropped the video meetings. But, what makes this place amazing is the hospitality the family provided. They went out of their way to assist with anything I needed, and they were so kind. There is no need to look further. This hotel is definitely the place to stay in Kutaisi!

Kutaisi is very small city but it has central location to visit nearby cities. We took one day tour to batumi and returned at night. Also there are places nearby to visit such as canyons and promethus caves and plenty of other places.

To be honest-it' just for hardcore travellers or backpackers yet. It's not an easy destination, they still need to improve in many ways. The people are very kind - but they are poor. There is rubbish everywhere - Sad to see it. But they are working on it, more and more attracions open every year for you to discover. The mountains are beautyful. If you don't expect too much, please support Georgia with your travel and money.

Great place especially the bridge & restaurants by the river .. 160 km away Uplistsikhe Cave Town is a must if travelling between TBILISI & KUTAISI. Food and restaurants are excellent in both. Ambience is great.

The city is nice, but to be honest after time I regret that we did not went first to Batumi or Tibilisi. For me personally, this city is good but for 1 or max. 2 days of sightseeing, after more time I would get bored. The city is very old, sometimes you can feel that it is still not so adapted to the tourism. Nice place for people that are facinated about history and old buildings. Maybe in the summer it has more to offer. We went in March when there was nothing much to do.

To see:
To see:
Prometheus Cave (it is not as touristy as the negative reviews I read, and most of the caves are lit by white light with some colored lights so you see the natural rock colors - it is awesome, the size and formations)
Motsameta Monastery (beautiful, small, on a mountain with a frescoed church and views of more of the Caucasus and river...I heard Gelati is great too but did not see it)
Bagrati's Cathedral and the surrounding ruins, including kvevrebi (clay wine jars in the ground)
Kutaisi Botanical Garden (Bagrati is on the way to this, depending on where you stay), 5 lari admission fee (bring small bills - I found out not everyone has change for 100 lari)...beautiful and with an Orthodox shrine in a tree!
Bukioti (small, colorful cafe with cacao and of course coffee, tea, hot chocolate, as well as achma (a type of khachapuri made with puff pastry) and the best desserts (lava cake, apple dessert which is an air-fried apple filled with nuts and raisins, both topped with vanilla ice cream, and others)
El Paso restaurant - good khinkali
Kolkha Fountain that is in the city center (gold-toned animals with 2 horses on top and a lit in different colors at night)
The room was huge compared to average hotels. It had everything I needed. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Air conditioner worked. Internet was fast and reliable. The hotel manager was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, very quiet yet still a short walk to the city center and a very very short walk to the railway station. Probably the best place to stay if you're taking the train to Tbilisi the next day. All in all it was probably my best stay in Georgia so far.
The staff were so nice, they helped me in everything. Hostel was very clean, bed was very comfortable, building had good sound isolation. They had fast wifi and also working space in the front building. I did not know where to eat good breakfast in Kutaisi so I decided to add money and enjoy their breakfast in the most beautiful Hut. It was delicious. city centre was near, i could walk from hotel. If I'll need to go to Kutaisi again, I already know where I'll stay.
Amazing hotel at the heart of Kutaisi. Extremely comfy beds, great decor, excellent showers and amazing staff, always kind and eager to help. Special thanks to Nia, Roma and Luka. The three of them helped us with every question we had, they helped us book a taxi to the airport at 4am and even gave us breakfast to go so we could have something to eat for our early flight. Thank you so much for your kindness you were GREAT!!
Great experience at Best Western Hotel Kutaisi. Nice clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very tasty. The hotel is located on a riverbank just near the city center which makes it a great place to start your sightseeing.
The restaurant on the roof top provides an amazing view on the city from the terrace and the cuisine is great, although their selection is a bit limited.
Cozy small hotel in quite place in Kutaisi.
Very friendly staff and owner of the hotel)
In the room there were everything what I need - Internet and table, bed, shower, small fridge and kettle.
I am staying here every time when I need to meet somebody from the Kutaisi Airport or if I need to fly to another country using Kutaisi Airport.
Hotel has got private parking 🅿️.
Nice, clean rooms and very good location close to center. The owner is super hospitable and can tell you a history of each place in Kutaisi (and all Georgia). He is very helpful and made us feel very welcomed. Worth to mention that owner picked us up from airport at 3:00 on morning and welcomed us with homemade wine and chacha.
Will definitely stay again next time.

Staff was very helpful and accommodating as we arrived very early they did their utmost to get the room ready asap. Meanwhile we walked around and had lunch, while they stored our luggage.
It is very clean hotel with very nice garden and extremely convenient location especially when travelling to or from Kutaisi airport and flight is either very early or arrival is too late. Even without this it is a pleasant stay in affordable price . Receptionist was very friendly and polite
I am positively impressed with the caring communication at the booking stage. As they say, Georgia is a hospitable country, you can feel it right away. I enjoyed the living conditions and the delicious breakfast in the wonderful garden.I also used the airport pickup service. I recommend
This hostel is highly recommended. David, the owner, is super friendly and help you with everything. The apartment is beautiful, comfortable and spotless. Also it's close to the bus station (the best way to move around Georgia is by bus) and close to the airport. I will come back ;)
