It is right next to the dunes, and has a homely atmosphere. The girl at reception was brilliant, she didnt speak English but we managed to communicate via google translate. You can order dinner in advance and they will make it for you. Try the kefta pinchitos !

I booked a triple room for my husband and our son. It was an amazing and unforgettable night at Riad Les Roches Merzouga. They offered a 4x4 trip through the village of Merzouga and the desert, providing an amazing experience. We also enjoyed some activities in the desert, such as sandboarding and a short camel trip in the dunes of the Merzouga Sahara Desert. The bed was good and comfortable. I also want to give a special thanks to the staff; they were very friendly and kind.

Very friendly staff. Room very comfortable and large. Also, the breakfast was huge and tasty - mix of cold items and a hot egg dish, plus coffee, mint tea, etc. Lovely. What I loved most about this place was that you could walk out and within minutes be surrounded by dunes. If you're feeling even mildly energetic/adventurous, you can walk all the way out to the middle of the dunes, past all the camel trains, and climb to the top of the highest or next-highest dunes, and watch the sun set or rise. Either (or both) of which are outstanding experiences. :)
