Located in Merzouga, 0.7 mi from Camel Trekking Company, Sahara Majestic Luxury Camp provides accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Our experience started when meeting one of the team members in Merzoga. We chose to ride to the camp by car, and it was quite the experience. When brought to the camp we were welcomed with tea and showed to our room. The tent was clean and the facilities were great ! Dinner and breakfast were also beyond our expectations. The owner Mohamed made everyone feel very welcome and happy

Located in Merzouga and with Ghost town reachable within 6.2 mi, Tassili Luxury Desert Camp provides express check-in and check-out, allergy-free rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi and a garden. It was a very nice stay, the staff was really friendly and we had a very nice berber music night every night. The dunes are very near the camp and they have a sand board to be borrowed for free. The camp is also located on the less busy side of the dunes, and therefore there are not so many tourists, creating a very nice and authentic atmosphere. We also did a very nice camel trip to a berber village near a oasis for a very good price. The guide was very friendly.

Located in Merzouga, 6 miles from Ghost town, Dihya desert camp has accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, a garden and barbecue facilities. Staying at Dihya Desert Camp was the highlight of our trip. Hassan and his team are delightful and took really good care of us, they were all very warm and it felt like we were staying with close friends. The set up / layout of the camp and the individuals tents is luxurious, you feel like your royalty. All the meals were delicious and the team was always happy to oblige us with more food when we asked (and we asked often cause it was delicious ahaha). Day time activities were fun too, driving over the dunes and touring the area around Merzouga was great. We got to visit some unique places and our guide, Hassan, was extremely knowledgeable. This review would not be complete without pointing out that sitting around the camp fire and looking at the stars (which were abundant) is truly breathtaking. I’d never seen a moonrise before and now I’ll never forget it. We stayed one night in the camp and we found it hard to leave when the time came. Staying with Hassan and his team was amazing!

Les Portes du Desert is located in the city of Merzouga, a saharan village at the foot of dunes l'Erg Chebbi. Its 984 ft² terrace offers a view of the dunes. Before I checked into the hotel, I was actually staying at a desert camp called Dune Merzouga Camp. The camp had a high score of 9.5 but I was underwhelmed as the staff are unprofessional. I already had a bad impression of the camp as I didn't get the pick up upon arrival at 6.30am that I requested but thankfully someone else was kind enough to take me to the camp office. I cut short my stay in the camp from 2 to 1 night because the camp is not associated with any riad/hotel and I need to be in the town center so that I can board the early morning bus to Tineghir. The owner of the camp doesn't seem to be happy that he had to transfer me to the hotel and in the car, he asked me to open up Google in my phone. He googled the name of the camp, entered Tripadvisor and asked me to submit a 5 star review on the spot! He then followed to copy some text from an existing review and he intended to paste into my booking.com feedback of the camp! Luckily he wasn't able to do it because I cut short my stay at the camp at the very last minute. The owner of the camp didn't take me all the way to the hotel but dropped me off somewhere at the town center and called the hotel to pick me up instead. The hotel pickup eventually arrived and when I checked in I was warmly welcomed by a Berber man named Hassan at reception who spoke perfect English, French and Spanish. The hotel interior is very beautiful and there are views of the dunes next to it. Near the hotel there is the National Automobile Museum that is free of charge and has an interesting and fantastic collection of 4x4s from all over the world. Lunch and dinner at the hotel were of higher quality than the ones I had in the camp even though the prices are about the same. In the next morning, I was delivered to the nearby Merzouga bus station 3km away by the owner of the hotel, Iddir. I boarded the bus right on time at 7.30am in the morning and safely arrived at my next destination, Tinghir.

nique luxury experience We were looking for a unique luxury experience and it was excellent!! All the staff was very friendly, hassan specially, who was very kind in upgraded us to a very new and absolutely fantastic, espacious, confortable and exquisite decorate tent. The view to the dunes, the dinner with candles, the music at night, it's all surreal. Also we had an aditional excursion in dromedary to see the sunset, a tour to the nomades and rent a buggy, it was all sooo good, the best experience in my life. 100% recommend it!!

Hassan and his camp are wonderful. What blew us over is how accommodating Hassan was. He picked us up from the bus station in the early morning, let us sleep in his family's beautiful, extremely pristine house, and then even the next day, took us back through the desert to catch our bus in the middle of the night. (The 5 am camel ride with the stars was probably the highlight for us :) ) The food at the camp was delicious, the camel ride was wonderful. I would highly, highly recommend.
The big advantage is that stuff knows english and spanish fluently. Oh, we forgot the backpack in the desert at the sunset and one of the stuff was so kind that he went to look for it immediately. After sunset they did dinner and cultural program for us. We sit late with them talking and smoking sisha. Very very good!!!!! We will come back!
