The room was quite small. We had two small twin beds that were pushed together. They were very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect.
The staff was also very friendly!

It’s location was ideal - close to the railway station and bus station. We were especially grateful to be able to store a bag at the hotel while we went on a walking tour of the Ecrins.

Crossed by the Drac and Isère rivers, the beautiful city of Grenoble is situated at the foot of the Alps. Grenoble is a traveler’s paradise, offering a great selection of tourist activities like skiing during winter and cycling, hiking and swimming during the summer months.
Home to important universities, the Palace of the Parliament of Dauphiné, the Archaeological Museum at Saint-Laurent and Parc Paul Mistral, the beautiful city of Grenoble is full of history, culture and science.
Visit the stunning Bastille fortress, served by one of the first cable cars in the world. Built in 1934, the Grenoble Cable Car with its iconic "bubbles" offers stunning views of the city and the Alps. Use this magnificent téléphérique for an unforgettable experience.
Made from limestone blocks, the impressive Gallo-Roman Wall was the first one around the city. The Little Train of La Mure will take you to a charming journey around the breathtaking natural beauties of Grenoble, passing through fascinating tunnels and bridges.
About 2.5 miles from Grenoble and 2 miles from Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs, Grenoble-Isère Airport is about an hour drive from Lyon, Chambéry and Valence. Booking.com will help you find the right hotel, apartment or condo hotel in Grenoble and the surrounding region.
We personally found it unwelcoming and horrible. We found that people were nasty to us as soon as we said we couldn’t speak much French. We also ended up eating in our hotel room every night because how the locals would treat us. Wasn’t a good trip for us personally. If you speak a good amount of French then I’m sure you’d enjoy this trip.

Where are the street lights?
Where are the street lights?
Walking back to the hotel around 9 p.m. after dinner was a bit hazardous. So many people on scooters whizzing past at speed, many dresssed in black, no lights on the vehicle and no lights to see them coming.
Where were the hot springs. Closed at the weekend

Great base to explore the local nature hikes in warmer months. If you plan ahead several of these are accessible by public transport. Also, if you like art (even a little bit) the Musee de Grenoble's permanent collection is amazing and free to visit.

Disapointing experience due to the city environment, streets are globaly dirty, walls full of grafitis and many shops are damaged (after recent riots). Even some caves of the Bastille are covered with grafs! The city seems to be abandoned and really unsafe, what a pity when you look at the moutains all around and the potential of this location 😞

We only had an overnight stay.
We only had an overnight stay. Was concerned by the amount of shop windows in the town that appeared to have been smashed and were either boarding up and left. Felt slightly uneasy walking around in the evening.

Fairly quiet with a number of businesses closed - clearly more of a winter resort than summer. However, there remain interesting museums (the free Musée de l'Ancien Echevé is particularly fascinating) and numerous hiking opportunities (not all of which require leaving the city!).
Local transport (tram and bus) is excellent with a €5-80 daily ticket (Visitag) excellent value. You need to pay separately (€9-50 rtn) for the cablecar to the heights of La Bastille if you do not fancy the stiff hike but do not miss the chance of such excellent views. Local rail station has excellent local services to Valence, Chambéry and Annecy as well as direct TGV service(s) to Paris
A variety of restaurants offer everything from a quick pizza to local specialities as part of a full dinner menu
We were initially given a room that was not fit for purpose unless you were a skinny single person with only a small rugsack. We were travelling around France for a couple of weeks and had quite a few pieces of luggage. The room we booked on Booking.com site is not the room we got given. We asked to be moved to a bigger room even if we had to pay for it, and was given a free ‘upgrade’. After that, we had a really pleasant 2 nights’ stay. Breakfast was plentiful and good.
Due to changes in my travel, I had to leave the room right after check-in. But the staff was very understanding. They not only allowed me to check-in at 9 am, even though check-in time was 3 pm, but also when I had to check.-out they were accommodating the did not charge me for the booking at all. The room was very comfortable and was as it was mentioned in the advertisement. The location was just perfect and within walking distance from the central station in Grenoble.
Great hotel. My room, on the river facing-side of the building, had a great window view; and there was a large desk by the window, so a little bit of working with laptop I had to do was both super-comfy and pleasand with that view. Arriving to the hotel with car was easy, and they have a nice parking in the yard. Looking at the map, I believe the train station is also very near, and the city center is walking distance away. Breakfast was fine.
Very good hotel in a super central location when you want to stay in downtown Grenoble. Our room had a decent size and was very clean and comfortable. Also the bathroom and shower were immaculate. The staff was very friendly and caring, I can recommend this place. Note the hotel is in the precinct, so you can’t park in front of the door, not even to drop luggage (unless you have a motorcycle and can sneak around the barrier)
The room was very big and the bed was very comfortable. It was a quiet street, so we could leave the window open during the night, which was nice. Dominique was very friendly and helpful and she made us a delicious breakfast with selfmade yoghurt, fruit, different cheeses, bread and strawberry tarts. Her home was 10 min walk from the centre and we could park our car in the street in front of her house.
The location was perfect! Our room had a balcony where we sat every evening and drank wine. The hotel is within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, and the trolley.
Most importantly, the front desk staff were friendly, very helpful and speak multiple languages!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to go to Grenoble and will stay again myself.
This is a wonderful location in Grenoble and we shall return. Conveniently located in the heart of the city close to shopping, parks, and cable car. The hotel was so helpful and easy to communicate with about our stay and the area. The room was comfortable and had a lovely terrace window over the surrounding streets. Breakfast was full. Staff were great! Enjoy
Everything! Atmosphere, comfort, location, kitchen style! very nice hotel. 24 h free coffee is awesome! Style is as in photos. Staff is helpful, any request or question they do their best to satisfy you. Would definitely stay again! Hotel got some award, from ministry of tourism (wall plate tells), definitely worthy . Highly recommended!
Fine little studio room in the city centre. The caretaker was there to let us in and showed us where to park for free, he was friendly and helpful. The room is basic but clean, ideal for anyone spending a night or two in Grenoble and just want something cheap and central.
I really liked the hotel's decor with the concept of sustainability. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom has what is needed. The breakfast is pretty good. The location is very convenient, near the central gare of grenoble
This hotel is like a chic hostel, in the quiet but central part of Grenoble - best value for money in the city! Lots of cute attention to detail touches that were really appreciated ! Also my two small dogs can stay for free ❤️
This was a lovely little base for 2 nights while exploring Grenoble. It's wonderfully situated in the centre of many interesting places to visit.
It feels private and peaceful, and great for a solo traveller.
Clean, comfortable bed and great location, minutes from the train station and centre of Grenoble. Very friendly and helpful
staff member. Great value for money
