Such a beautiful lake!
Such a beautiful lake! We went in off season, so we could not take the boat for a tour, but we loved it anyway. The views of the mountains and hillside home across the lake were so pretty! We would love to spend time here in the summer. I'm sure it's beautiful and fun in the winter, but we don't like the cold so much!

Zell am See is a town on the route of the Transalpin train.
Zell am See is a town on the route of the Transalpin train. We stayed for one night before our journey across the alps to Zurich. If you don't ski, there is little to do in town when it's cold outside besides a stroll along the beautiful lake and a visit to shops and restaurants. One 24-hour period was enough for us to see and do everything. The location of the train station made this a very easy place to visit.

Zell am See didn't have the quaint alps village feel at all, more like a regular large town, the high street was very disappointing.
The scenery of the lake and mountains was breath taking. Simply beautiful.
Snow for skiing in Feb 24 was absolutely awful given the low altitude! A lot of mud patches on the lower runs rendering them unusable. I would consider elsewhere for skiing option tbh. The ski resort was small and good for beginners/families primarily.
I felt very safe walking around the town.

We loved Zell am See.
We loved Zell am See. From the ease of getting here (the train from Salzburg is clean, quick and on time), to the scenery, beautiful town and great people. Everyone was pleasant to deal with, the facilities are excellent (although watch out for the supermarkets closing early compared to the UK) and the skiing is brilliant. Lift queues were generally short. However, as expected, everything is expensive!

What I like the most: Friendly staff, free use of washing machine and dryer at the lobby, underground garage, spacious living room and fully equipped kitchen, near the lake for a leisure walk and near to town and near to a lot of ski lifts and cable car to Schmittenhöhe
What I don like: nothing. Just be sure not to have a late check in so that you can seek for help before the reception close

Zell am See is truly beautiful.
Zell am See is truly beautiful. We had an amazing week of skiing with an excellent ski guide (Thomas Hager, https://www.alpin-guide.com/eng/), who added so much to our ski holiday experience. The town of Zell am See has an array of great restaurants, bars and shops. We travelled over the Christmas period and the place was festive with lots of Christmas spirit in the air! We would highly recommend a trip to Zell am See.
literally every thing was beyond expected and definitely worth the money, staff is very helpful and kind. rooms are great with every thing you want. breakfast and the dinner was very delicious and worth it . location and view is amazing. hotel facilities were very nice and relaxing. staff celebrated my birthday which will be a very nice memory for me.
i loved the hotel and i would give them 100 out of 10 and will definitely will be my always stop in austria
Location was 10 walking minutes from the center, so very quite but still convenient. Breakfast was good. A bit of variation could have improved the quality to excellent. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
What I liked a lot: We went skiing for the entire last day after checking out and were still entitled to use the hotel shuttle service to the lift in the late afternoon to come back, get our luggage and wait in the lobby for a taxi.
A gorgeous and modern hotel complete with a sauna in the room! It was a very pleasant stay and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. It was an absolute bonus to be given access to so many unique offers and activities in the region such as a boat ride on Zell am See and a hike through Sigmund-Thun-Klamm. They even gave us a little gift which included 2 bottles of water for our journey home which was very thoughtful!
One of the best Hotels in Zell am See. The Spa facilities are outstanding. I am not sure that any other hotel in Zell am See even closely has something similar for the price. During our stay we have also visited two other popular hotels - Hotel Gruner Baum and Grand Hotel. Both of them cannot even remotely compare to Haidvogl. Additionally one has to mention the exceptionally friendly staff. And it is very clean.
We had deluxe suite and I would rate it 12/10. Hands down one of the best hotel rooms we have stayed in. Everything was perfect, the photos of the room do not make justice (way better than on photos). Everything is new, high tech, big bathtub.
Pretty much in the center of Zell am See, so everything in the walking distance. Parking is a little bit trick, but if you dont have a truck you can manage just fine.
The staff is friendly and available to help with eventual requests. It's in a very good location in a walkable distance from the mountain and city center. The highlight was the unexpected Summer Card provided by the hotel that made all the difference, we could save more than 200€ in tickets for the attractions in Zell am see and Kaprun.
The staff were very friendly and the breakfast had plenty to choose from.
We have stayed in Zell am See at least 30 times, and it's the first time we've stayed at Edelweiss B&B. I've seen a lot of reviews about the noise outside, but I didn't think it was too bad; some of the hotels closer to the centre are a lot noisier.
best place in town. Very cozy hotel with a great atmosphere. The host couple were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. The hotel is well centrally located right close to the center and right next to the ski lift. When we return to Zell am See, we will definitely choose this hotel. From Pia and Knud - Denmark
The location was great. Centrally located and we could walk everywhere we needed including the train station, ski rental, lifts, and buses. Had all the ski amenities with a boot room. We luckily were able to check in early after taking a night train to Zell am See.
Myself and my 12-year-old son enjoyed very much our stay at Dirk’s pleasant hotel in Zell am See. Everything was perfect, including the friendly staff, and great breakfasts. Meeting the charming owner, Dirk, was a special pleasure, and I enjoyed our chats.
Amazing location. Very close to CityExpress lift. Our rooms were cleaned every day. Friendly staff. Big ski room. Table tennis. Hint for the visitors: When you come back you can slide down from the slope (#7) right to your the door of your apartments.
Very nice spacious apartment, close to the CityExpress cable car. Many restaurants and bars around the place. Apartments belong to the Neue Post Hotel so all services in the hotel are available to use, like the pool, spa, ski room, etc.
The hospitality of the staff was exceptional, the hotel is very clean and well maintained, the location is central and close to everything in Zell am see. We will definitely come again
Location was nice, and close to shops and ski lifts. The sauna was amazing after a long day snowboarding. Apartments themselves were amazing, clean, comfy and felt like brand new (:
Modern apartments located close to city center and just 2 minutes walk from Ski Shuttle stop and Ski lifts. Breakfast were delicious. Spacious underground parking
the hotel was very clean the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was very good traditional Austrian food
ski bus stop straight outside
A nice and clean place with comfortable beds and plenty of room for 6-8 adults, close to all ski resorts and in a very quiet neighborhood of Zell am See
