the public beach was deserted when we went so it was great , all to ourselves. beautiful and fun snorkelling and swimming. very hot and humid. delicious food and very very pleasant people. Crossing to the island was rough, but fun! 16knots! easy to hire a ferry, but get there on time or pay more than double for the next (private) one. no one walks , everyone rides a motorbike. Very easy and cheap to hire. bring very light clothes , flip flops and cover from the biting bugs.

Excellent place to stay with good facilities.

Excellent place to stay with good facilities. The catering could have been better but under the 'new normal' was OK. No wifi in the rooms but this isn't an issue generally. The room was only made up on request but again was not too much of an issue. We loved the whole experience and we'll be back again.

The island is brilliant if you just want some down time.

The island is brilliant if you just want some down time. There are a few different resorts dotted along the beach. A great place to take a book and have some much needed R&R - it’s safe, the locals are very friendly and always happy to assist. Not really a place if you want to be kept busy. Good for all sorts of travellers - single, couples, with friends or family.

Near to the jetty, restaurants just across the accommodation, friendly and helpful owner and staff. They can arrange motorbike rental, van to and from the nearest beach, boat to take us (5 pers) to 3 snorkeling points, one of which to where the turtles are and to Long Beach. If you like the feeling of a real and simple village accommodation and near to cheap and tasty local food, this would be the place for you. The rooms have working air conditioning.

If you want the experience of having a private beach in nature on a beautiful island, then the Redang Campstay is for you! It was affordable, and I was extremely impressed with how my tent stayed dry during heavy thunderstorms. I would like to leave a shout out for the staff, who were super friendly and helpful. They will help you arrange snorkel trips and transportation and also tell you any information you need to know about the island.

It was truley amazing- the camp was perfect! lonely and directly on the beach you can relax and enjoy pure nature! you will see monkeys, monitor lizards, baby sharks and geckos! We were there in off season so we‘ve been the only guests beside the staff. it was amazing, we had all the beaches for ourselves. Also long beach is wonderful and only a 20min walk from the camp :) thanks for everything!

The resort is so run down there are hardly any maintenance done. The building, swimming pool and everything is so old, floors are cracking too. There are no buggy service at all. Have to walk whenever we need to go somewhere…There is no beach at this resort. A bad memory for the entire family. Will never come to this resort ever. Dissappointed with Berjaya flagship

Very affordable for Redang standards. Very comfy bed and sheets. Turtle bay is 1km away. I could get there with a 15min hike with 40m ascent; Or request a transport from the receptionist (convenient and inexpensive). Turtle bay is very beautiful; Fine white sand, clear waters and best of all, very high chances of turtle sightings.

Staffs were very friendly and helpful. They are not very calculative towards everything, during my stay we were welcomed to have cocktail buffet and even breakfast on our arrival date for free and they provide an excellent service as well. One of the best resort I have stayed so far and definitely looking forward for another stay.
