Hotel Moderne appears to be the only hotel in Gisors!
The hotel had secure cycle storage. The patron was very helpful, handled my terrible French with aplomb but obviously spoke good English too. We only had breakfast at the hotel - it wasn't spectacular but perfectly adequate.
The hotel was 10 minutes walk from the town centre which has a good choice of restaurants. We ate at Le Cappeville, which was superb.
The castle and park are worth a visit.

We stopped here for one night as we traveled back from Normandy, leaving for the airport the next day. Beautiful building that was 14th century monastery. The property is gorgeous! Booked 2 rooms which were clean, simple and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Kevin greeted us and checked in on us during our brief stay - he was helpful with giving us the history of the location and recommendations for dining and travel. Would definitely stay here again.

Sam & Danielle are on hand next door in the compound to provide any advice. We were so relieved to find they speak English. Plenty of space in our house with a large lounge/dining area downstairs, well-equipped kitchen with microwave, stove, fridge/freezer, etc, a second toilet. Upstairs 2 interconnected bedrooms upstairs, bathroom with washing machine. Quite close to the Avenue Verte, and safe to park our bikes in the compound. A nice little boulangerie just down the road and a couple of pizza places.

Petit Chalet Chez Marcelline is located in Amécourt and offers free bikes and a garden. WiFi not possible inside the cottage but possibility to get a connection when close by outside our house.

So quiet, we felt felt like we were the only ones there. Gisors was just a short drive away for dinner and drinks. Opening the door and window created a lovely cross breeze, no AC required.
We liked everything: really marvellous dinner, with a great white wine and roaring log fires (after two weeks in a house with no central heating, this was bliss). The owners and staff were super helpful and friendly. Our dog was made very welcome. The room was big, warm, comfortable. The hotel itself has an interesting history and is set in very pleasant grounds.
Fantastic stay! Antoine (staff at the hotel) was super friendly and really went above and beyond to make sure I have a great time. The hotel has an amazing restaurant where I had a delicious 3 course dinner!
