They don’t have an elevator in first building, had to carry luggage & other stuff up staircase! It was very hard for senior. Even mentioned it to staff was nasty response to us! Didn’t offer any help! Also in complex they only had 1 ice machine on first floor

The Outer Banks of NC is a must see.

The Outer Banks of NC is a must see. We did it all in the time frame we had and the weather that didn't always cooperate. The Sand Dunes at Jockey State Park, The Wright Brothers Memorial, Jeanette's Pier, Pea Island, The Graveyard Memorial, The Elizabethan Gardens, and the Wild Horses Tour in the Hummer was all so exciting and amazing!! The restaurants we are at were just ok or not ok.....Sam Omies and The Crab House.

First time in OBX, loved it.

First time in OBX, loved it. We stayed here since it was pretty central to go both directions up and down the coast easily. There is plenty to do, weather pending. We came in shoulder season so it was quiet and a little chilly. I hear it gets incredibly busy in the summer. Beautiful part of the coast and will come again.

This hotel is beach front and although it was foggy and rainy, we could still see the ocean. We liked the fact that there as a little cafe run by Dave who made us up a shrimp and salad supper so we didn’t have to navigate in the fog! Most of all, the staff at the hotel are great and super helpful. We had a problem with payment which has been sorted out by the Manager, Lynnsey.

The last time I was in KDH was about 20 years ago and I have to say time has not not been kind to it. So commercial, touristy and filthy. Litter and cigarette butts covered the side of the road, where you will have to walk if you want some exercise, as there are no sidewalks on many of the busy streets. We visited in the off-season as a side trip on our way from NJ to GA so we could go to the Wright Brothers memorial. The memorial is nicely done, and the building it is housed in is lovely. I'd suggest making a day trip to see it and then getting out of town.

Nice spot on the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was large. WiFi and TV were ok. Beach access was great. Chris on the Maintenance staff is a good guy. Very laid-back vibe. The desk clerk on check-out was indifferent about the guests hiding the very few luggage carts in their rooms. Ample luggage carts are needed, and I think it's on the hotel staff to secure them. Or maybe ever offer to help? The clerk seemed unhappy when I suggested I might start knocking on the other guest room doors to see where they were. :"D

The location of the property is good. They are right next to the beach so you can walk to the beach. A small hut on the dunes gives a nice view of the beach. We had takeaway dinner there one night. Quite nice! The outdoor pool is small but good enough for a quick dip. You will find a beachwear shop right next to the hotel! There are a few restaurants nearby, but be prepared to drive. Breakfast is a traditional American motel breakfast, but it gets you started.

LOVED the location where it was right on the beach. The restaurant in the hotel was so convenient and the food was good when we ate there. The hotel was located near so much stuff like places to eat, shops, mini golf etc.. so there is plenty of things to do! The room was a decent size and clean even with not having daily cleaning due to COVID guidelines.

Best Western was a good hotel to stay in, right on the beach and quiet. We requested a shower chair and the manager went and brought us one for my disabled wife. We will surely be booking another stay next year.
