Accommodation in Eigenthal

I stayed at Hotel Restaurant Hammer in Eigenthal from 18 July to 19 July 2025 for one night, and it was a memorable and peaceful experience. The hotel is set in a beautiful mountain location, surrounded by nature, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway or as a base for hiking in the Swiss countryside. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The traditional Alpine style gave it a warm and homely feel. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and made me feel right at home. I also enjoyed a delicious meal at the hotel’s restaurant, which served fresh, local dishes in a lovely setting. If you’re looking for tranquility, fresh air, and authentic Swiss hospitality, Hotel Restaurant Hammer is an excellent choice.

The location is absolutely magical and the hosts superbly welcoming. The guest unit is underneath the host’s own residence and they manage to be accessible for any query while allowing guests real privacy. The attention to every small luxurious detail is just fantastic, from lounging kimonos to the fruit basket and secret stash of chocolates if you feel wicked. We even got a lovely hand towel as a gift when we left. An absolute treasure of a place.

Comfortable hotel and a quiet location with easy train transport into Lucerne

We stayed for two nights and got to climbed the peaks and see alps in the distance which was breathtaking! The half board option is really ideal for us and helped us to secure nice table and food choice. They also provide us free cable or cogwheels tickets for the 2nd day that allowed us to decent to Kriens and Lucerne. We would highly recommended this place to stay for at least two nights if you love mountains and nature. The staffs are thoughtful and friendly.

A very unique & amazing experience to sleep on top of Pilatus! The views are breathtaking, the food is delicious and the staff was very friendly. Definitely recommmended.

Absolutely stunning views, great location near Kriens (where gondolas and cable car to Pilatus leave from), comfortable rooms with lovely views and balcony with chairs and table, free minigolf and playground, free fruit for guests, ample free parking and 2 x 22KW chargers for electric cars. Last but not least, a fabulous and v reasonable Michelin quality fine dining menu in the restaurant (with wine from a vineyard we could see from the terrasse). Would highly recommend for anyone visiting the Luzern region

Little studio big enough for 2. Fabulous view that I'll never forget. Quite and calm place with only cow bells that you can hear. There are few walking paths and a walking path to mountain Pilatus. The place is really nice and comfortable, cosy.

We stayed in this old farmhouse, which is located a bit far from the city. The kitchen was spacious and fully equipped, which was very convenient during our stay. There are stairs leading up to the house, so this may be something to consider if you have heavy luggage. There were a few drawbacks. The bathroom was not very comfortable for taller guests when taking a shower. One of the bedrooms did not have curtains, making it difficult to sleep during the summer because of the daylight. In addition, the smell from the cow barn sometimes came into the rooms, which was quite unpleasant.

Fantastic location, easy walk to the base of Mt Pilatus, and beautiful views of Pilatus from the windows. Supermarket and buses to central Lucerne a 3 minute walk away. Rooms were very clean and tidy, and kitchen was equipped with all the necessary basics. The place was also lovely and warm; it snowed on our last day and it felt very cozy inside.

Very clean room and common parts. Comfortable and very quiet room. Nice and easy communication with host. Towels and toothbrush/paste left on the bed for our convinience (with a swiss chocolate). Easy to find

A very nice room, clean and comfy. Great location! Most importantly... Polite and friendly staff who let us in a little early and were very kind. They have a well equipped kitchen to cook. Overall very nice experience!

The location is great. It's 15-20 mins drive to Lucern city center. We don't like staying in the busy area so it is perfect for us. It's true that there is no AC but there are 2 strong fans which are good enough. It's also true that there are mosquitoes so it's better not to open the window during night. But we managed to stay at our expectation.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, extremely comfortable beds, the meals in the restaurant were delicious.

We went to Luzern for a family visit and were looking for a quiet and peaceful place where we could relax in nature, and all for a reasonable price. That's why we chose to stay at Chlösterli. We parked in front of the beautiful house and were greeted by Mr. Igor who took us to our room. The place is magnificent, with a private garden with stunning views. Very close by is the cable car to the famous Pilatus. The room was spotless, linen bedding, plenty of pillows to cater for a comfortable night. In the room we found a Nespresso coffee machine + coffee capsules, a kettle and tea, as well as fresh fruit and a warm welcome card. The private bathroom has a shower and bathtub with views of the garden. Outside the room, a table with chairs, minibar, music box and more chairs in the outdoor area for sunbathing. All this with a breathtaking view. You can park your car and use the free public transport card to go to Luzern in 20 minutes. Breakfast was served punctually at the chosen time and everything was delicious. Anyway, this will be our place every time we visit Luzern. Because besides the place being spectacular, everything in the house was done with great care and Mr. Igor's friendliness and hospitality exceeded our expectations. Close to central station and the concert hall

Excellent accommodation for families. The apartment was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The quiet neighborhood ensured a relaxing stay, while the proximity to shops and public transport made everything easily accessible. Private parking directly at the entrance was very convenient. Communication with the host was outstanding – fast, clear, and professional. We highly recommend this property
