Gästehaus Schäfli is a gem of a hotel with such a friendly welcome, a comfy bed, lovely warm shower and incredible traditional food for dinner - particularly the chicken with special sauce. The walks from the hotel up into the woodland are stunning - all the way up to a perfect picturesque blue lake overlooking the mountains. I'll definitely stay here again and can't recommend it highly enough!

Lovely village, amazing views. House is modern and clean. As it's self check in the instructions could be better but after some exploration we figured it out. Only one key given so needs a bit of coordination when with multiple people and couples. Single parking only which again was not made clear at all and any other car is street parking which is hit and miss depending if there are free spaces but otherwise there is paid parking close by.

I’ve done quite a bit of traveling with a large family but this place really tops it all. It has EVERYTHING for a nice comfortable stay : a kind responsive host, its spotlessly clean, fully equipped kitchen, all newly renovated ensuite rooms, location is only 5 minutes from the main highway and the road leads to a beautiful mountain pass too. The kids had a great time waking up to a gorgeous view of a waterfall right across the house. Highly highly recommended! Thank you for the wonderful time.

Love the location near Gotthard Tunnel. We have stayed here on numerous occasions. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food excellent. Great atmosphere.

The room was cosy, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good and the dinner was superb! The restaurant was full of locals which says it all! When we woke up it was snowing ...just to add to the atmosphere! Would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay here! The room was adequate for our needs. The restaurant had wonderful food and all the staff were very kind and gracious and accommodating. Our German is not great, and though most of the staff didn't speak English, it wasn't a problem for us.

I expected budget accommodation as it's a restaurant with rooms; the place met my expectations - basically somewhere to collapse exhausted after a day's skiing. The bed was comfy, the food excellent and great value. Would stay here again for visiting Andermatt - getting to/from was easy and quick.

Breakfast was AMAZING, staff were so nice, and gorgeous. They allowed us to store our luggae while we hiked. The asparagus soup was to die for. 10/10. Cable car discount for staying here too.
