Big Game is a delightful place with extremely capable and friendly staff. It has charming decorations and is very clean. It is on the main street of Porto Ingles (also called Vila de Maio), the main town on the island of Maio. That street has several restaurants and shops and ends at a park overlooking the beach. Everything is easy to walk to. The restaurant in the Big Game is very good, if expensive compared to other places. My room (11) was a large one and it had an extra bedroom that I did not use. It also had a small balcony overlooking the back of the property, with no view of anything interesting. Furniture was minimal, with only one dining room style chair and a sort of cabinet to house the small refrigerator and TV. The staff were fantastic. Mirko, in particular, is a tremendously friendly man who seems to genuinely care about all the hotel's guests. The hotel rents quads and cars; I rented a quad for a day and he marked a suggested itinerary on a map he gave me. It was perfect. I really liked the place.

Maury, the manager, is a really friendly and helpful person who provided a warm welcome, good advice on where to find restaurants and live music in the city of Sal Rei and proper quality espresso coffee. I felt well taken care of! Thank you Maury!

This is a spectacular apartment. Visually just stunning. Clean, well located. The hosts were very responsive.

The apartment is great. It is located in a private community called Stella Maris, close to restaurants, markets and an amazing section of the beach. I did not arrange any transportation from the airport but it was very easy to find one there for a fair price. The space is very comfortable for up to 2 people. The shower has great pressure and the place has cool amenities (hair dryer is a plus). The pool is unbelievable, with salty water and great views. Besides, the team at Stella Maris was very welcoming and it was easy to rent a scooter to get to know other towns in Maio.

The place is simply remarkable. The Villa 4 Stella Maris is part of the complex of other villas in a very nice area of the main town of the island of Maio - Porto Inglês or Vila do Maio, close to grocery stores and local restaurants. It is located on a cliff hanging over the sea with a gorgeous view and absolutely spectacular sunsets. It is clean, spacious, well-equipped with everything you need to sustain the living of a family.
