The room was very clean and nicely furnished (modern, yet cosy). Staff was exceptionally friendly. Whenever I talked to people in shops or cafés, you could feel the love and appreciation the people of Hexham have for The Beaumont and the people working there. I highly recommend staying here.

A very warm and comfortable stay. The kitchen was well stocked including welcoming supplies of milk, bread and butter. The most comprehensive compendium we have ever seen. Lorna and Mike were very helpful for local tips and beyond. So nice to talk to our hosts.

The location was perfect for our plan to explore Hadrian’s wall. Our hosts were knowledgeable about the location and amenities and helped us secure dinner reservations as well as giving us directions to the local interesting locations. Breakfast was hearty, with many selections and perfectly prepared.

What initially drew me to book the hotel was their candour regarding parking in Hexham. They acknowledged the problem and after the long drive i undertook all was resolved to my satisfaction. You can deposit luggage with them and go to main car park which is only about 3/4 mins walk away. From then on, my stay just got better and better. If i could, i would give them 11 o/o 10, they are that good.

Location, character and cleanliness were top notch. Communication with Ian and Susan was excellent as was their response to very minor issues. We couldn’t recommend this place highly enough and would certainly stay again if back that way.

The Station Inn is a good budget style accomodation and ideal for a one night stay or for contractor workers or 'touring' folks such as cyclists. If you are looking for a more upmarket stay this is not for you. However, the staff are excellent, particularly Laura who is brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is very friendly. The team as a whole are very helpful. Bed was comfy and a great breakfast. You could do far worse for a night or two stopover.

The breakfast was great. The owner Elizabeth was very friendly as were the other 2 couples staying there. The accommodation is perfectly placed on a farm and the 1st night we were able to watch the sunset over the fields.

What wasn't there to LOVE. Upon arrival we were offered a fabulous upgrade to stay IN the castle ... a dream come true! Our room was truly unbelievable. The bed was like sleeping on a huge cloud ... pure bliss. Dinner in the restaurant was delightful as was the included 'full' breakfast the next morning. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and definitely worth exploring. A definite highlight of our holiday.

Gibshiel Farm is in a beautiful location down a long single track road with extensive views of the glorious Northumberland countryside. Nothing to distract from the view only sheep and birdsong . The property is in keeping with the surroundings and has been modernised to the highest standard. A warm welcome from Alex who was an exceptional host, we had everything we needed if not more, and nothing was too much trouble. If staying in the area we would highly recommend this accommodation., it was excellent.
