Complete freedom of a large and attractive property with gorgeous grounds, swimming pool, and a good country feel. We loved Angela and LUCA as hosts and Angela is a really good cook. Granddaughter really loved being allowed to safely run around and enjoyed the Cats!

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Tenuta Casteani and had a thoroughly wonderful stay. From early communication at booking through to arrival and our time on the wine resort, the staff were excellent and attentive. Our overall goals was to relax, disconnect from day-to-day life and reconnect as a couple after a stressful few months - mission accomplished on all fronts! We actually extended our stay by another two nights and were very glad to have - most other visitors seemed to stay for a shorter time but we were perfectly happy for a week. The pool is a good size (there are actually 2) with great views over the valleys. Daily pool maintenance cleaned the water and the floor, meaning the pool was good to go. A selection of chairs/loungers and umbrellas means you can (and we did) spend an entire day by the poolside. Take sandals though, as the floor is a lovely but bumpy stone/tile. The wine from the resort was wonderful - I particularly enjoyed the Terra di Casteani and the use of a home-made sparkling wine for a twist on the Aperol Spritz was great to enjoy in the afternoons. Regional access is great, with mainline trains from Grosseto to Pisa/Firenze and Rome, meaning easy access for day trips. A short-ish drive from Tuscan highlights of Siena/Volterra, as well as the thermal baths in the region. We hired a car from Fiumicino Airport and drove (2h30) but you could just as easily hire in Grosseto and/or arrange a taxi transfer, though we'd recommend a car hire else you're a bit isolated. It is important to remember that this is a working agriturismo/wine resort and not a "hotel"; as such, some creature comforts like a bar aren't in place. That being said we were well taken care of and the staff were super attentive. We are the type of couple that likes to try somewhere new, but we would absolutely stay at Tenuta Casteani again; even taking our young daughter who would enjoy the grounds.

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed! The staff were exceptional, warm and friendly yet so competent and professional. They made our stay extra special. It’s a small and intimate place and I’d recommend staying at least two nights. The pasta making class was wonderful and we enjoyed learning about the winery. Friendly animals. I also highly recommend the maremma regional park and the WWF bird sanctuary

This place was the perfect choice to enjoy some romantic days in tuscany! The location is perfect, with amazing views. The staff was exceptional, with plenty of attention to detail. The breakfast was super complete, and offered high quality products of the region. It also offered daily homemade delicacies that enriched its variety every day. The room was super comfortable, with plenty of space and with enchanting details. The swimming pool is the cherry of the cake of this stay, perfect to cool down watching the sunset after warm days!

The Host was friendly and accommodating

We really enjoyed our stay - the area around the house was even more spacious than we imagined from the pictures, it is very calm and secluded, everything was clean - we stayed for two weeks and even a gardener and a pool cleaner were coming by once in this time - and everything was really comfortable and the kitchen provided everything you need. The owner, Rosy was nice and also available via phone any time and provided us with help and also advice what to do in the area :)

A very enjoyable stay. We spent Easter with our family in Tuscany. The location is in a quiet medieval hilltop town, close to the ruins of a castle. There are two restaurants and a shop nearby. No problems with parking. It’s a convenient base for car trips. Dogs are welcome. The host was very friendly.

This place is really special. It’s a beautiful little hideaway. Exceptional quality fixtures and furnishings and the host was delightful. We arrived really late and it was dark, the hosts little video instructions made finding the room really easy. The next morning we were greeted with the stunning views from the windows. It’s really incredible. Also the restaurant at the bottom of the cobbled road is really good. Highly recommended. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Booked this apartment for guests attending our wedding due to its close proximity to our venue. It had everything they needed for a comfortable stay, and the host was fantastic—friendly, helpful, and great to communicate with.

The view from the house was fantastic. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful.

Self contained apartment with access to a good pool and recreation area. Good bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen/living room and private garden. Clean and tidy.
