Accommodations in Katsuura

The room and breakfast area were very clean and spacious. The staff at reception were very welcoming, always friendly, and helpful with directions. I'm very grateful for the attention I received, especially from a man at reception (I'm sorry, I don't remember his name), who had traveled to my country (Argentina) and with whom I chatted briefly during breakfast. I recommend it to anyone who wants to stay by the sea.

How cozy and spacious it was.

We brought are own breakfast. And it was good location.

Next to the kii-katsura station. The room is comfy and complete with ameneties. The host provided a meal voucher for their restaurant.

Spacious, clean, comfortable, and affordable!

We had a wonderful stay. Our host was kind and friendly. The apartment came with everything we needed for a comfortable stay during winter. Our host let us borrow 2 bicycles for just 100 yen each per day, which made it super enjoyable to ride to town (under 15 min) and to a nearby local onsen, Kiyomon-yu hot springs (under 10 min). Plz see pic for the pedestrian/bicycle tunnel to get to the apartment from Kii- katsuura station - plz do not use the other tunnel on the right in the pic designated for cars. Also, when you're in town, you can park your bicycles at 2 designated spaces for bicycles behind the stations - plz see pics for those. We even managed to ride the bicycles to A-Coop Nachi supermarket and back for our grocery needs and for exploration. Sorry for a long review - just trying to provide info for future guests who might find them helpful.

The host is super nice! Everything inside is sustainable and thought out for the space. Locations is seconds from the bus and train. Great place to sleep after a week of hiking.

Everything. It was a really special place

As a solo traveller, I had the entire apartment to myself. Plenty of space and time to recuperate after Nakahechi Trails. With a kitchenette and an induction cooker, I was able to do simple DIY cooking. This place also provided access to Nachi san and the Nachi falls, the last bit to finish up all the hiking for myself.

Nice staff, walking distance from the train station, excellent dinner, brand-new and clean.

This place is pretty much brand new and still has a wonderful fresh cedar smell from the floor boards. It was very clean and we enjoyed our stay.

The onsens (one open air) were beautiful. The personal was 100% invested on our wellbeing. The chef, food quality and presentation were above average! Breathtaking view of the Pacific from the room’s windows.”

The staff were helpful and nice, we felt very welcome. The breakfast and dinner options were delicious, with a big selection of food and drinks, amazing fish and sashimi especially. The onsen and the local surroundings were beautiful, a lot of rooms have a view of the ocean. Nachi waterfall is accessible by bus from the station which is a ~10min walk from this resort. Incredible experience.

Great hotel with friendly staff, plenty of amenities -including a perfect sized yukata- , great ocean view from the room, comfy beds (even on the floor), large onsen with 3 pools, very rich Japanese style breakfast, we regret not getting dinner as well.
