The owner is so nice and friendly, he told me the best way to get to and go through Okunoin cemetery, and gave tips on which temples were worth a visit. Room itself was warm and the bed was comfy. The food in their restaurant is also delicious!

I made the best of friends while staying here! A bunch of people would come in to use the cafe so I also got to meet locals. I loved living here and I loved the vibe.

Beautiful shukubo in Koyasan. The temple is across from the Konpon Daito Pagoda, easy to reach from the bus stop. The breakfast and dinner were very nice and delicious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The facilities were spotless and really clean. Our room had a view of the garden which made it feel very calm and peaceful. This is one of our favorite accommodations in Japan!

Breakfast served in the room was a lovely experience. The range of selection for gluten free was more likely muted than the regular meal, and strangely, did not include fruit and some other items that have no gluten that were offered in the regular meal
