Accommodations in Yamanaka

Food was amazing, facilities really nice.

The facilities were so perfectly clean and well well maintained and well equipped, especially the Onsen We stayed in a traditional Japanese room and loved it, including the futons to sleep on the floor The staff was extremely attentive, helpful and friendly. The dinner experience was the highlight of our Japan trip and I can only recommend it!

Big thanks to especially Mr Feng Hui Qi who was very helpful , accurate , patient with always a smile . Good hotelier he is . Hotel has a great location , facilities and spa . Beautiful nature .

The sound of the river and surrounded by green nature makes me feel so refreshed

Our room was amazing. All of the baths (in-room bath, private bath, public bath) were excellent. The meals were amazing! The Taiko show was fun. Happy hour was great. The town was enjoyable.

The whole place is beautiful! The atmosphere is so peaceful you instantly relax. The food is great, the staff is very hospitable and they speak great english, and the onsens are amazing as well. Really recommend!

Fabulous location in the middle of a charming old Japanese town.

Stunning location along a river gorge! Beautiful property with very modern minimalist Japanese decor. The onsen tubs including the private tub in our room wonderfully relaxing and clean. Delicious kaiseki dinner and breakfast and excellent staff and service.

We loved the Kaga Onsen region, and Ken was a wonderful host. He picked us up from the train station and drove us to the property. Since we only speak English and Ken speaks Japanese, he used a smartphone translator to communicate with us, which was incredibly helpful. We really enjoyed hearing him explain the town, the amenities, the room, and the food. The property is older and definitely shows its age, but it is meticulously maintained and that actually adds to its charm. It feels authentic and full of history rather than overly polished. We also loved sleeping on the futons on the floor, which made the experience feel even more traditional. Make sure to spend some time walking along the river and exploring the town. We found the whole area peaceful and deeply relaxing. The food pushed me a little outside my comfort zone in the best way possible, and everything was excellent. Our only “complaint” was the sheer amount of food. Come hungry because both dinner and breakfast are huge.

The amenities, location, staff,

The private onsen was truly magical! The design of the room was stylish and beautiful. It was perfectly clean and we had all the amenities we need. The ryokan’s team was amazing and friendly! The nature around is a pure joy, we could observe it and walk the whole day! The hotel is a hidden gem and we hope to come back one day!

Private dining room and service by a fabulous Japanese "grandmother." Beautiful yukatas for dining it. Beautiful onsen.

Staff was very helpful and friendly - went above and beyond by driving us down to town center when it was raining. The onsen pools but the river were lovely and the mixed bathing option was great for our family/friends group to be able to enjoy it all together.

Sprawling property with great facilities. Great onsen. Staff was super helpful. Breakfast and dinner buffets were of exceptional quality and a reason to stay there.
