The staff were so friendly and helpful. The place is cute. It's not high end but it's very clean and there are some nice Frida touches!

Beautiful heritage building with character & charm built in 1925 during the Henekken boom. The spacious veranda is overlooking the ocean, and the pool & recreation area is an additional bonus to stay here. The friendly staff is bi-lingual and eager to help. Thank you for the great service. We'll be back.

The service is excellent. The management and staff were amazing. The drinks by Dorris was the best I’ve ever had. The hotel was so good, I didn’t have any faults. I was very sad to leave as we had the best vacation. I’ll definitely come back.

The cabins were amazing and really comfortable! They are spacious, clean, and well equipped. The bed is comfy and the net does protect you from any mosquitoes which might have gotten into the room, although I didn’t see any inside (there were many outside, but repellent kept them at bay). The staff was friendly and ready to help, and they lent us beach chairs and an umbrella to use at the beach. The pool was slightly cold, but still quite pleasant and clean! The Wi-Fi works perfectly well for working remotely, and there are sufficient power outlets inside and outside the cabins. On the TV there is Netflix and other streaming platforms. There is also a temazcal (traditional sauna) which works on scheduled days and can seat large groups. There is no kitchen inside the cabins, but there is a fridge to keep food fresh, and there is a shared kitchenette with an electric stove, near the site’s entrance, and the staff can lend you a pan to cook a quick meal. Hot coffee is prepared and served for free twice a day. There is sufficient, safe, and convenient parking space for all guests, and the staff lends you a little trolley so your luggage can be carried around easily to your cabin without getting soiled with sand. I would definitely recommend it to any traveller, and I will surely come back with my family one day! The property has one pet-friendly cabin only, so if you are coming with your pet it’s worth booking and letting them know in advance.

It is a modern comfortable apartment with a pool in the garden and direct access to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay there. Gym Is near by. The host is very nice person.

We had great time with our 4 year old. Opening doors into central space was wonderful - with the kids play pool, main pool and hammocks. The cabins are cute and rustic. We were able to cook for ourselves with the hob, microwave and basic kitchen equipment. We stayed two nights but would’ve been happy for longer. Walking distance to beach but we stayed on property mostly because it was so sweet.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Canukatan. The villa is spacious and it has everything you need for your stay. It's steps away from the beach it's the perfect place to relax after a beach day. The rooms are comfortable and there's a if you need it. I enjoyed sleeping with the ocean breeze going through the windows. I would recommend.

Amazing place for those who want to relax. The house is located on the second line from the beach. You can go for long walks. The beach is residential. All over the coastline are houses. In the village you can eat local food and buy some food. There is nothing more. Progresso is little over 10km away. But village is not nice at all. In approx. 50km drive there are mangroves, you can take a excursion with boat.

The host was wonderful! The space was clean and modern and had everything I needed. It was my second month staying here and I loved it so much I have extended my vacation for another month. Close to the beach and all amenities.
