A quiet hostel with a lovely staff

So clean and feels like a home. Probably the best hostel I've stayed at in New Zealand

The room was clean and well-maintained. Although the property is located right beside the road, the neighborhood was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Location close to historic centre. Hotel restaurant served excellent fresh hot meals. Walking to shopping, restaurants and cafes as well.

Perfect location overlooking the water and near shops etc.

Very convenient to the penguin viewing and you don’t have to drive far to get to it after the viewing late at night. Manager was very responsive and it had everything we needed, including laundry. We really enjoyed staying here.

Interesting boutique hotel that occupies an old bank building. The room we had featured one of the original vault doors. Well furnished and comfortable room with excellent and friendly staff! It was too bad we only stayed 1 night.

Was given a room "out the back" of the property which was very private from the rest of the rooms and street. Enjoyed waking up to look out the windows and seeing the alpacas looking at us ! Our stay was quiet and very comfortable.

We arrived late but there was no problem getting the key and finding the room.

Everything is perfect! We definitely will stay here again!

Peaceful place but near a New World. There is everything we need. Beautiful surrounding. Spacious house. There is a lovely and cozy garret! It's a shame that we stayed only one night and had no time to enjoy it.

We enjoyed our stay at heritage hideaway so much! The location is convenient to walk to the precinct area. The host prepared the fire and that’s a bonus for our trip especially we arrived on a cold raining day. The space is nicely decorated with vintage pieces and super cozy at the same time.
