Everything about this place was exceptional - the ambiance, location, staff, food, etc. A bonus is it’s pet friendly, which made me smile when I saw a dog (we don’t have one at the moment). But none - I repeat none - were unruly or misbehaving in any way and there was no smell or mess that might be expected.

Situated in Buckfastleigh within the grounds of Buckfast Abbey, Northgate House Hotel is on the edge of Dartmoor Nation Park, next to the banks of the River Dart.

The best feature what Chloe, the best hotelier I have ever met. We got in late, and she sorted us out expertly, and was more welcoming than I have ever experienced before. I would go back just to see her again!

The room and its bathroom were beautifully created/designed and everything was in tip-top condition. The bed was very comfortable too. Our room looked onto the market square of this pretty village. Staff very welcoming
