Accommodation in Exeter

A warm welcome from the friendly staff. We were a bit early, but our room was ready. A nice quiet room on the 5th floor. It wasn't the biggest of rooms but there was everything that we needed. Lovely clean, comfy bed. Plenty of tea/coffee, etc. Decent toiletries. There is plenty of lighting. There is a nice atmosphere in the bar area. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. Everything was kept topped up and clean. The staff were doing an excellent job, they were quick at clearing the tables. The quality and choice of food/drink were excellent. There were some nice touches left in our room, for a birthday celebration.

The staff were excellent and friendly. Good bar and good prices and of a high quality. Thank you.

from arrival to departure my experience was first class, facilities, my room, breakfast, car park, etc. and the staff went over and above to make me fell welcome.

Good location for the airport

The view is absolutely beautiful! The rooms very clean and comfortable. The owners very friendly and kind. Definitely recommended!

The hotel is located close to the city centre(10 -15minutes walking distance). The acces from the motorway is pretty fast and facile.The front desk was helpful and the room had been really nice.Also I recommend the breakfast(they offered options for vegetarians)

The gentleman on the reception desk was very helpful. The hotel is old, but rooms are upgraded and modern. It is directly across the road from Exeter Central railway station. Close to downtown. 3 minute walk. Would stay here again

The staff were very warm and friendly; the facilities and property were well kept. The bistro has a great standard of food for both breakfast and evening meals.

Beautiful clean room, right opposite Exeter Central Station! The beds were comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The Globe is very central and nice and quiet too albeit our room faced onto a garden bar. The indoor bar was awesome and cosy with a fireplace. The staff were very attentive. The room was, exceptionally clean and the bed was amazingly comfy and very big. Couldn't fault the service or the room. The parking was just up the road in a public parking facility but really easy to access from the hotel. All in all a good experience and we would definitely go back.

Was nice & cosy with log burner , As stayed 17th & 18th January, Food good nice friendly staff , Also spa facilities excellent. Very accommodating changing our rooms for two beds .

Absolutely amazing food and room to stay in. The disabled bath room decor and design was really special. Anyone who needs such facilitate would love it. Couldn't find better. The food was super yummy.

Delightful room with comfortable large bed. The shower was amazing with no fluctuation in hot water flow and easy to use. All the staff I met were very friendly and courteous. It was good to have a hotel car park as parking in Topsham is limited

I could literally not fault this property at all! Wonderful interior, beautiful views, delicious food at the pub and super friendly and helpful staff. Can’t wait to come back for another visit!

It’s an awesome property in a central location. Everything was stylish, of good quality and clean and there are some really interesting pieces of decor around too! Plus the staff were super helpful.

Centrally located in the city.

The overall ambience of the hotel was perfect. I love places that you can feel the history of. Southernhay House is far from a generic, bland chain hotel. The attention to detail from decor and furnishings was obvious and created a great atmosphere.

Great location, close to the city center and train stations. Room was clean and warm, comfortable bed, great communication with the host.
