Nice room with comfortable bed. Quiet location. Very good instant water heater for the shower. They cooked a special chicken biryani for lunch which was delicious. We also had their very good Sri Lankan breakfast. Good value overall.

Com vista para a piscina, Gal Oya Lake Club fica em Paraganakele e tem restaurante, serviço de quarto, bar, jardim, piscina ao ar livre aberta o ano todo e terraço. Absolutely brilliant! The service from everyone from the time we arrived was exceptional, so friendly and welcoming, and assisted and advised with anything. The facilities are great, nice clean swimming pools, the grounds are very nice and the rooms were great-large, immaculate and good facilities, and great to see the sustainability such as refillable stainless steel drink bottles instead of plastic. The restaurant was very good, and reasonably priced. The activities arranged were good, the lake safari seeing elephants and many birds. And using the kayaks on the lake from the jetty right out front was great (we didn’t try the fishing, but that was another option). And of course just the peace and quiet location to relax in luxury. The children’s favourite was Ronnie, the very friendly dog.

The host was super helpful, as we told him that the AC in our room is not working properly. He immediately fixed the problem by calling the repair guys on a weekend evening. He also provided tons of useful hints and info about Sri Lanka. With one work he is a really cool and knowledgeable guy who runs his business impeccably. The breakfast was also marvelous (portion and taste). The only negative thing to mention is the smell in the bathroom (with closed door only the bathroom) which occurred time to time. (Might be because of the swampy land behind the building.)

A special shoutout to Mufaris and Murthala for their outstanding and precise service—they went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. The highlight of our stay was the incredible food and drinks. The iced tea was the best we’ve ever tasted, and the pizza was absolutely divine! Every bite and sip transported us to a place of pure bliss. Whisky Point Resort truly feels like a little paradise nestled within an already paradise-like island. The serene ambiance, combined with the warmth and hospitality of the staff, makes this a must-visit destination. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience. We’ll be back for sure!

They quiet houses of Lucky Bay are hidden away from the rush of Arugam Bay’s main road by an enchanting garden. Muhamad, the owner, made me feel at home throughout my stay, inviting me for tea, offering me some muffins and giving me daily advice about the local surf spots. The beach is also less than a minute away by foot.

It was a lovely break from the hustle and bustle of Arugam Bay. It is quiet and secluded, with surfers in the bay in the afternoons. Long beach walks and relaxing is what you do here. The food is fresh and tasty and reasonably priced too. The staff are friendly and quiet, always tending to the gardens. My room had a lovely 4 poster bed, and a nice patio area for relaxing. I loved my stay here.

The hotel is phenomenal. The lovely German owner is really accommodating and friendly. The staff are also great. Everything about this place is perfect and if I could give it a 12 I would. We went during the off season (January) so the town was very quiet, which made having this accommodation all the more better.
