We had a fantastic stay at Mt Cook View Motel! The location is ideal, with beautiful views of the snowy mountains and perfect weather to enjoy them. The owner was incredibly amiable, going above and beyond by preparing our room in advance—he even turned on the heater and lights to welcome us, making it feel cozy right from the start. We appreciated the flexibility with check-in and check-out times, which made our stay even more relaxing. The room was spacious and well-equipped with a heater and an electric blanket, perfect for the chilly evenings. Parking was a breeze, right in front of our room. The owner also suggested a great spot to visit nearby, which really made our trip memorable. We highly recommend Mt Cook View Motel for its warm hospitality, convenience, and incredible mountain views!

It felt like home the minute we opened the door! Cozy, well appointed and with a BATH TUB (a rare find in a rental). Comfortable beds and everything needed for a lovely breakfast. Even eggs! And a yard full of roses.

Rainforest Deluxe has a terrace, bar and spa and wellness center in Franz Josef. Providing a restaurant, the property also features a garden, as well as a sauna and a hot tub.

We stayed in one of their tree houses and it was well appointed, clean and modern. Location is very good to access trails, and glacier touring operators. There is an onsite restaurant that has excellent food and drinks.
