Nice hike up Dove trail, we watched the planes take off and...
Nice hike up Dove trail, we watched the planes take off and land at the airport. At the top had a nice view of Castlegar. We enjoyed Millennium Park on the Colombian river. It was clean, not busy, had a big play structure for the kids. Nice trail along the river with nice monument and view.

Convenient location between Trail and Castlegar/Nelson.
Convenient location between Trail and Castlegar/Nelson. We recommend visiting nearby Nelson and Ainsworth Hotsprings. Castlegar has a sculpture walk (starts in June) which we missed this trip but have enjoyed in the past.

The person I first dealt with, was not exactly friendly,...
The person I first dealt with, was not exactly friendly,especially when I came back to let him know we weren’t staying in a room that stunk of weed.. he didn’t even apologize,just wanted to know if I wanted to cancel the reservation. I told him that I wasn’t cancelling, but wanted another room. I complained to the manager in the morning, but I would not recommend this hotel to travellers.

Genelle is really a suburb of Trail…halfway between...
Genelle is really a suburb of Trail…halfway between Castlegar and Trail, so there are no facilities there. You have to go into either town…Trail is a little closer… if you wish to eat at a restaurant. We ate at the golf course, food was good.
