Dinamic dance studio, which is at 2 minutes walking distance to the hotel, has Brazilian zouk dance classes, strongly recommend to solo travelers and couples to give a try. There's a restaurant/cafe/bar opposite to the hotel with plenty of indoor & outdoor seating and good food.
Did not really see anything of Manises we ate in a bar opposite the hotel. They served Chinese food in addition to the local food which was delicious and cheap. Manises appears to be a normal working class neighborhood, nothing more , nothing less, but people friendly and helpful. Metro station next to the Travelodge which was so convenient.
Good enough to spend a night. Saw great police presence, but felt secure enough to walk from the restaurant to the hotel at night. Although there is Chinese restaurant nearby, we walked 200 m further and ate at Concheta, a real Spanish restaurant ( tip from hotel staff - thank you) Very casual, football watching crows and international families from nearby hotels, average prices, do not expect much, but good size portions. Friendly staff, gave us a complimentary apetizer ( Aroz negro) and a complimentary digestive. Would come there again.
