The location was perfect for my purposes. Unfortunately, I could not stay in Ioaninna long, as I had to catch a flight the next morning. The location was perfect. In the morning, after I was already to go, I walked out the door and had a 13 minute walk to the airport. Perfect.

It was a perfect place to spent the weekend.
It was a perfect place to spent the weekend. There are many things to do. We visited the lake island and the castle as well and it was perfect. We liked it and i totally recommend it for a weekend trip if you want to do something different.

Ioannina offers history and stories around every corner.
Ioannina offers history and stories around every corner. Explore the Castle and museums on precinct, amble beside the lake or take ferry boat across to explore. Sit at lakeside cafe/restaurant or explore the myriad of options. We didn’t get to the caves but suggest this is a must visit if you have a car.
