Dormire a Reggio zona Aeroporto is located in Reggio di Calabria, just 2.2 miles from Stadio Oreste Granillo and 4.1 miles from Lungomare Reggio Calabria. We needed a place near the airport for 1 night due to an early flight. And we were pleasantly surprised to get this amazing place. The room was very cute and cozy, everything was new and modern. We had a room with private bathroom and fridge in the little town-house where we didn't see anyone else. The air condition was comfortable and noiseless. The host left us some drinks and snacks in the fridge.

The city needs a bit of exploration but it’s well worth it.Friendly locals great food especially local swordfish at Dalis ,pizza to die for and good beer at decent prices .The contemporary art gallery was well worth the browse at a cheap entrance fee as was the archaeological museum with the amazing pottery collection and spectacular bronzes.Close proximity to the Sicily ferry and beach resort Scilla Very laid back atmosphere and no hard sell.Realky enjoyed our stay
Reggio Calabria, in my opinion, is the jewel of the south. I feel it's underrated. Beautiful scenery, with the wonderful Lungomare. Lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from, not forgetting Cesare's gelati kiosk, it's the best in Reggio. However, I would avoid the cafes on the beach because they are more expensive than the ones on the side streets. Great shopping along Giuseppe Garibaldi Corso. Can't wait to go back there!
Reggio Calabria is a great place to stay. Good bars, restaurants, shops and amenities. Superb views across the Strait of Messina to Sicily from beachside bars. It’s also a great base. We travelled to Tropea by train and Messina in Sicily by ferry - both great day trips - and transport is cheap compared to the UK. Prices in bars and restaurants in Calabria were good. Go before everyone finds out about it!!!!
Italy is never enough. This was our first time in this region, and we certainly will come back. A fantastic Museo Archeologico is absolutely a must. I suppose in the summer it must be beautiful. A ferry to Messina makes it possible to visit a little part of Sicily as well.
I love Reggio Calabria. It's beautiful and a walk through time. Visiting the Museum is a highlight especially to see I Bronzi di Ricace. The famous statues that were discovered in the ocean in the 1970's that are almost fully intact. There are also palaces to see as well. If you have time to take a day trip you can visit the ancient city of Gerace. You definitely need to have stamina to walk up the mountain. The locals there seem to live in an ancient time. Go to the store and have some Bergamot liquor..It's yummy. Somedays it's nice to just walk around and see the sights.
Very nice town plenty to do and see with restaurants and bars within walking distance It was buzzing g at night with a good atmosphere The national museum and cathedral well worth visiting. Plenty of places to shop if this is your thing.Easy if you want to hop on a ferry and visit Scilly across the straights.
