Good food Resort is new, large room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, terrace with sofa Daily free snorkeling excursions, water sports staff is nice However: Not much of a beach, except in front of the bar; beach is in the shadow in the afternoon. Weak wifi. Lots of corals that hurt the feet, shoes are necessary, seaweed in the afternoon (see pictures). Unsuitable for swimming: shallow water - ankle-deep at low tide and waist-deep at high tide. There is a manmade swimming channel in front of the bar, quite limited. Therefore, the only snorkeling possible is through an excursion. We tried swimming in the lake, but the water is very warm there, it’s like swimming in a bathtub and in addition the water is dirty (see pictures). There is a pipe bringing the sewage of the hotel to the open ocean from behind the port, you can even see it on the satellite if you look closely. Depending on tide/current, this water comes back into the lake. Apart from lack of beach/swimming, the worst was the transfer issues and the complete disregard of customers.

Personnel did everything they could to make our stay memorable, being flexible, creative and anticipating our needs. Zayan was an excellent butler, discrete but affective. Marine life abundant and accesible. Very well maintained island with palm trees. Outstanding spa and free yoga every day. The sea plane company they use (Manta Air) is reliable and flies despite rain and thunderstorms, surprisingly smooth. Excellent barista coffee every morning!

A recently renovated guest house in Thimarafushi, Finimas Residence offers outdoor fireplace, parking on-site, and sports facilities. Just about everything! The accommodation was excellent. Good size bedrooms, comfortable beds, ac and fan, covered spot to put surfboards away. The staff are amazing, the girls (Bidi and Rose)are just incredible! Always happy, organized, and cook super well. The captains know the surf spots very well and are super ok to help with photos! Ahmed made us feel welcomed and help us in many ways with ferry tickets to other islands and accommodation. Everyone is always helpful and friendly. The island is beautiful, of course the plastic is a problem like other islands, but I'm sure the council has a plan to fix it soon. The surf spots are incredible! Three surf spots just around... Only one for beginners !

The staff (Roshani) was absolutely fantastic… very gracious, helpful and always a smile :) The owner, Ahmed, went above and beyond! Assisted with many questions and booked my boat to and from Male. Very helpful. Thimarafushi is a small, quiet island for relaxation, and snorkeling day trips.

All rooms have air conditioning. You have laundry service available and food is delicious. Alternative food is also available from the menu with unlimited water to drink. Activities and excursions are reasonably priced and a whole load of fun suitable for adults and children alike. Some are less suitable so consider the age and swimming abilities first. The hotel has a lounge filled with games - pool, ping-pong table and other fun games will fill your evening. No alcohol is served on the island, but the mocktails are nice and refreshing. Stay Mikado has recently purchased their very own island! Right, it’s all yours to enjoy!
