United KingdomWe arrived at Baneasea Airport late at night, but we were able to reach the apartment within a 10-minute walk, as it is located in a very convenient location. Though it was cold outside, it was warm and comfortable inside the room. The room was filled with a lot of thoughtful touches, including amenities and sweets (kids loved them!). Highly recommended.

I came to like otopeni for its convenience to the spa.
I came to like otopeni for its convenience to the spa. I found bucurest busy, chaotic and with a lot of traffic so we were very lucky to be in the spa in and out within 10 to 15 minutes depending on the airbnb. We had a car and going in and out the spa and around otopeni was useful. I dont think you can walk around in the busy street. However I do not recommend driving in bucurest because if something goes wrong they have very strict driving rules and very strict police and I ended up having a lot of issues.

Immaculate property, easy to get in and out, great location for the US Embassy, zoo close by and very good location.
Great, great beds and pillows, two balconies, 3 air conditioning units, restaurants within walking distance. Easy to get in and out, underground parking, great wifi. Easy to get in touch with owner. Super safe location. I would come again and stay longer.

The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. It’s a good location as everything is within a 20 minute taxi ride. The staff were so friendly and accomodating. The owner, Victoria really went out of her way to make sure you had an amazing stay. We loved every minute of our stay there and would definitely come back!

The Mogoşoaia park and palace are perfect for a leisurely walk, biking, fascinating photos or a dip into history. The area is very well maintained and cared for. Don't miss the lakeside, impressive old trees and flower gardens. The palace museum offers insights into many historical periods with inspiring collections for visitors with different interests.

Great architecture, every Saturday and Sunday during summer Calea Victorei become pedestrian street, very good idea! A lot of parks (Cismigiu, Kiseleff, Izvor, Herestrau...) and greenery around boulevards like Blvd. Aviators, you feel like you are in a garden. Every Sector has a park. Old town is nice too, it is packed with all kind of restaurants, pubs, street musicians, a beautiful book store, great buildings with history. No smell of urune like in West Europe, limited homeless people and beggers. A bit negative: I see same stones on the pavement not fixed from my previous time, even near National bank, no maintenance ? Due to Danube river crisis/hot weather the museums, churches, buildings switched the lights off to save energy, a bit of sad but nesssesery. The street lights and on few hotels are on.

For car enthusiasts, the Tiriac Collection Museum is a must-have experience (my son and I are car fanatics and spent more than 5 hours there). A large number of cars, both classic and modern, including unique pieces such as the Ferrari LaFerrari and Mercedes-AMG One. Free water available at the reception, coffee for an additional charge.
As car enthusiasts, we give it 10 stars out of 5. Absolutely amazing.
I can also highly recommend Therme.
We only visited one of the three sections because of my son’s age (something you should definitely pay attention to), but we really liked it. Nice water slides, pools, pool bars both inside and outside, lots and lots of greenery, and even during busy hours we were able to find free sunbeds. Also open until late.

Hosts were excellent
No bars close by restaurant downstairs was closed.
Royal sushi restaurant was nice next door.
If wanting quiet holiday it's great but 45 to hour away in taxi for night-life.

A beautiful city, reminded me south Spain with the weather and architecture, I believe that in 10 years it will develop into a more attractive tourist destination, it has many vintage buildings, however many of them are in the mix of vacant buildings and ruins. With a solid investment it could become a smaller version of something in the same category as Vienna, Budapest or Prague.

Otopeni has a nice neighbourhood, quiet, close to the airport and Therme Bucharest. Some streets are currently under construction and therefore closed which makes traffic congestion, but hopefully will be settled soon

My sister and her kids were staying in the Grey Apartments...
My sister and her kids were staying in the Grey Apartments for a few days when vising Bucharest. They were looking for a spacious and affordable option, rather than being in the center of the city. They were extremely happy with absolutely everything. The check-in was easy. The apartment was extremely clean, very spacious, had a huge terrace, comfortable beds, large and nicely done kitchen with all the appliances, and even a washing machine. The supermarket is just steps away. My sister had to extend their stay for a few more days, and it was very easy. The owners even applied a discount for extra days. The location of the property is a little far from the old town area, but Uber rides are very affordable in Romania. This place is great for staying with the family!
