Such a beautiful, colonial style property with an amazing view of the sea, and a small beach you can walk right onto. The pool is beautiful and so relaxing. Our gorgeous room opened up to the pool terrace and we had a delicious lunch and breakfast overlooking the pool and sea. The staff were unbelievably attentive, Sandun was a fantastic server, with a great smile. He made sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying at this wonderful boutique hotel.

It’s a peaceful and quiet place, perfect for those looking to relax. The location is fantastic, with several small, cozy beaches nearby, such as Jungle Beach, Ketaturu Beach, and Coconut Beach. These spots are not crowded. The hotel itself is new, and the rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. The hot water in the shower worked flawlessly, which is always a plus. The breakfasts are delicious, big portions. The owner, Chamil, and his family made sure I felt at home and were always ready to assist with anything I needed. Getting to Weligama center is easy with a tuk-tuk, and if you ask Chamil, he can help arrange one at a reasonable price. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a quiet, comfortable, and welcoming stay near some of the most beautiful, less-crowded beaches.

Feroz really was the best host, organising private transfers for us from Colombo airport and accommodating our request for an 'earlier than advertised' check in. He is exceptionally friendly and genuinely wanted to know what we felt about the accommodation, so that he could make any suggested improvements that would make the experience better for future customers. He even invited us for a meal in his own home (downstairs), which was so thoughtful. The accommodation was far bigger than I had expected, with 3 very good sized double bedrooms (all A/C) and each one having its own en-suite shower room with toilet, basin and window, meaning no sharing was required. There is also a good sized kitchen with fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, hob etc and plenty of pans, if you wanted to cook meals yourself. There is also a nicely furnished lounge and separate dining area, with a lovely 6-seater dining table and a TV (if that's important to you). There is also a very useful washing machine on the rear balcony and space to hang out washing to dry if needed (a complete god-send for us!). On the front balcony, there is a small table and chairs, where you can sit and watch the squirrels running along the branches - I think that's what they are anyway? The villa/apartment is literally opposite the lovely surfing beach, so very central and everything accessible and within walking distance.

After 5 months travelling through Asia, Mahiru Homestay was likely the best place for the value we have found. You get 2 rooms, a bathroom and a kitchenette (fridge, sink and camping gas) with enough kitchen utensils that do the job. The family is amazing, the house is not on the main road of Midigama but still 5 minutes a way from the beach and very affordable restaurants. They also arrange you a motorbike and help you with public buses schedules and stops if you need. For its location and comfort it is the type of accommodation that you can stay for your entire time in your travel in south Sri Lanka. I really wish all the best for this amazing family!

    The hosts were so friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. It was perfect location from the beach and had a lovely balcony. Breakfast was yummy and filtered water tank was very handy. The room had everything you needed: mosquito net and AC. They also began doing board rentals too which was great!

    Literally right off the beach, couldn't ask for a better location. The host was very welcoming and made sure I was happy the entire stay. I also left something in the apartment (although I did not need it anymore) and they messaged to say they would be happy to post it. Would be recommend

    Really liked this apartment. We stayed with another couple and had a great stay. recommend anyone that wants a kitchen, living space, two bathrooms and a nice home from home feel. friendly family that runs it also.

    RECOMMEND :-) Spacious apartment. Comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, hot shower. Very green garden to look at from balcony. Good location, 10 min walk to shops, 5 min drive to beach. Great host, good and fast communication, cheap scooter rental from him, laundry service, and he drove us further south with his Tuktuk.
