Beautiful house in a stunning, peaceful location. The place is brand new, cosy and fully equipped. The host was very welcoming and helpful, really made me feel at home. There is a dam, as well as some great hiking trails nearby. I had an amazing stay in Guarda and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a chance to enjoy the best of Portugal's nature.

Location was at an olive farm a few kilometres out of Guarda. It was quiet and peaceful and had a lovely view across to the mountains across the valley. The hosts were friendly and chatty.

Quinta do Borges was a beautiful, peaceful, rural location, but was also close to Guarda so all amenities were close by. Apartment Quinta do Borges 2 is a lovely, but very quirky property. The bedroom was spacious and warm, with a large and very comfortable bed. The en-suite bathroom had an excellent shower. The kitchen was quite traditional and the layout took a bit of getting used to, but had everything you might need for self-catering. The hosts, Fátima and Fernando, were very friendly and helpful and were on hand next door, had we needed them. We didn't have as much time as we wanted to explore the grounds but we would definitely return for another stay in the future and hope to explore more next time.

The hosts were so helpful and gracious. We enjoyed walking through the olive grove, amongst the sheep, petting the horses, hearing the chickens, picking fresh juicy figs from the trees. The pool was refreshing and had wonderful views. Our breakfast was the most delicious fresh foods ever. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we come back to Portugal, this is where I want to be.
