We had an amazing winter night experience. There was 20 cm thick snow all around and -5 deg Celsius outside temperature, but the room was nicely heated at +24 deg C. I was pleased that inside the room was a tiny fridge, a microwave, a kettle, and a full set of dishes, cutlery, and various teas. We brought our own food and heated it up in the microwave. It was amazing, that the tree house is near a lake. The lake was fully frozen therefore it was safe to walk on it. A patch on the lake was even cleared to go ice-skating. We did not bring our own skates, but the host Maija gave us skates with EU size of 44 and 38. It was completely random and unexpected that we could go ice-skating on the lake. It got dark at the night, so we could also see the stars. We also rented sauna, which is near the lake. You can control the heat in the sauna by adding more wood or throwing water on the hot rocks to make hot steam. After sauna we also went to the lake to dip in the water. A small batch of the lake was not frozen so you could easily have an ice bath. Note: Taxi ride from Cesis train/bus station was 6 euros. If you want a taxi driver who speaks English, then I suggest using taxi company "Taksi 118 , IK". We would definitely want to come back again.

Amazing Sauna. -enough space for a small group (i saw smaller saunas in wellness hotels!) -wood oven -80° -birch banches -sauna infusion set kitchen is new, modern (induction), clean and functional, but for a romantic house at the lake it's amazing (only one sink in the house (toilet)) Recommend!

A wonderful place to recharge from the fast paced city life. Quiet, despite of having couple of other cabins around. We absolutely love the sauna cottage: perfect for two!
