The thermal pools were walking distance. The pier was walking distance. The ocean is very close. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathroom was great. Loved the japanese styled toilet seat.

Had everything you needed for light meal prep. Huge windows that looked out to a beautiful garden setting. Nice patio for wine / coffee sipping. Gail and Norm were excellent hosts. Comfy bed. Right across from the beach 3 restaurants and an ice cream shop very near by.

From the front door, it takes less time to walk to the pier than to walk along the pier from one end to the other! The unit was very quiet and well lit with morning sunlight streaming into bedroom. An airy feel throughout the cottage. There's a nearby bus stop if that's useful. Busses would stage their runs out on the street but they were so quiet as to almost be unnoticed. Super easy access, right next to the mall for groceries, post, chemist, etc. Loved the little sunroom, enjoying the morning light and warmth with cup of plunger coffee, ready to start the day! Plus easy walking distance to the Hei Puna Taimoana hot pools.
