The 'Passage East' car ferry service from Waterford cuts down on journey time too and makes for a little sight-seeing trip in itself. Having stayed at many 5-star properties around the world in Dubai, Singapore, Thailand, New York - our room at Thistledown Lodge was furnished to exceptional satisfaction and did not disappoint one bit. We'd upgraded to the bigger room with a bath and shower so we had plenty of space even if we stayed in one of the evenings whilst it rained. Being vegetarian guests with special dietary requirements, we were well taken care of by the hosts with wholemeal toasts, fresh orange juice, potato waffles, vegan sausages, vegan black pudding, baked beans and mushrooms. Everything at this property including their breakfast was served at an exceptional standard and you can see the attention to detail with the amenities on offer like branded cutlery, plating methods, quality of food produce etc.

Set in Gorey and only 1 km from Ballymoney Beach, Tara Hill Estate offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. With garden views, this accommodation provides a patio. Absolutely everything! The room is clean, comfy, has all appliance you'd need (stoves, cutlery, plates, toaster, kettle, etc.). We specially enjoyed the projector for movie nights ! a lovely note was also the picnic blanket that we used at the beach. To note we don't have a car, but you can walk quite easily to the beach and taxis can come and collect you.

If you like a good walk with spectacular views, drive about 15 minutes to Tara Hill and try the red or blue trails. You can see just about the whole of County Wexford from up there!

Overlooking Arthurstown Bay, Marsh Mere Lodge offers accommodation with free private parking and free WiFi throughout the property. The location is perfect!! Gorgeous view of the ocean and Hook Peninsula! Claire was totally welcoming and helpful. We even got to meet the corgies!

Located in the picturesque seaside village of Duncannon, in southwest County Wexford, Seashells B&B offers en suite accommodation with free WiFi and free bike hire. Everything was wonderful from the first call we made to let them know we will be arriving late, as we were waiting for our flat tire to be fixed, to the morning we left, The genuine concern and caring about our situation was very heartwarming, and their friendliness was appreciated. Breakfast was great, beds were very comfortable, rooms were spotless. Evening tea and biscuits were always welcoming us which was a very nice touch. We hope to return again!

A 3-star, family-run bed and breakfast in the heart of Curracloe village, the Robin Hill has a sitting room with a fireplace and views, home-cooked breakfasts, free Wi-Fi and free parking. Breakfast was great. set up the day perfectly. Been through quite a few hotels, and B&Bs on this tour of Ireland, and this has been by far the best.

Lovely house, very comfortable and well kept. The house has everything you'd need and the hot tub is amazing!

Orchard Cottage, a property with a garden, is situated in Wexford, 20 km from Selskar Abbey, 20 km from Wexford Opera House, as well as 21 km from St. Aidan's Cathedral. Paul was a lovely host and welcomed us with tasty, hand-made gifts such as an apple pie, bread, rubrhab jam, etc., which made us feel at home. The house was clean and comfy. We enjoy taking a short walk to the beautiful beach nearby. Highly recommend! Many thanks!
