Fabulous property with plenty of room for our big family to enjoy. Kids loved the swimming pool and the hot tub. When we arrived, it was late in the evening and we were greeted by the host Mary. She showed us everything and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. She arranged a lovely stack of food for us to eat for breakfast so we don’t feel rushed before the supermarket closed. The location of the villa is ideal, close to the town of Rethymno but secluded enough to relax in a quiet area with the breathtaking views.

The swimming pool was big and deep enough for adults to swim lengths.

My family had a beautiful stay at George's apartment. The apartment is spacious, clean, and has everything you could need to feel at home during a holiday (appliances and condiments in the kitchen, soap and shampoo in the bathroom, also a washer and dryer, etc). Beds are comfortable and the air conditioning was available in every room, which was a life saver in the summer heat. There is a beautiful view of the ocean and harbor. It was easy to get to the town and to the beach by car on the local roads. George was an amazing host. He made sure our family had food for breakfast for our first morning, gave us plenty of oranges to make fresh orange juice, left us homemade olive oil and raki, and even brought us fresh tomatoes and cucumbers from his garden! It was really lovely chatting with him. He really went above and beyond. Definitely recommend staying here, it was like a Greek paradise. Thank you so much, George! Our only regret is that we could not stay for longer!

Forest Park Hotel is located in a beautiful position on the hill above Rethymno, offering breathtaking views of the city, the sea, and stunning sunsets. From our balcony, we enjoyed a truly unforgettable panorama, which was one of the highlights of our stay. The hotel is best reached by car, as the walk to Rethymno Old Town takes around 25 minutes downhill, with the return journey requiring a climb back up the hill. However, the elevated location rewards guests with peace, quiet, and spectacular scenery. The hotel grounds are exceptionally well maintained, with beautiful gardens featuring olive and citrus trees. There are two swimming pools: a larger pool for swimming and a smaller relaxation pool. Both were spotless and very inviting. The pool bar offers drinks, snacks, and food throughout the day, and the staff prepared excellent cocktails. The entire team was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which was generous, varied, and delicious. The room was a little compact for two people, but it was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed, including towels, a mini fridge, and complimentary water. The bathroom was spacious, modern, and very clean. What impressed us most was the hospitality of the staff. After check-out, we still had several hours before heading to the airport, and the hotel kindly allowed us to continue using the pool and facilities. This thoughtful gesture made our final day much more enjoyable, and we are very grateful for their kindness. Overall, Forest Park Hotel exceeded our expectations. The beautiful location, stunning views, excellent facilities, delicious breakfast, and exceptional staff made our stay truly memorable. We would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Rethymno.

Very nice place, situated 10 minutes on foot from the beach. The whole house, as well as the apartment we stayed in, were completely new, well equipped, and with a beautiful view from the balcony. The owner was accommodating and easy to communicate with.

The guests (family members, not me) were pleasantly surprised by the welcoming! There was a bowl, full with fresh fruits, cold water in the fridge, different cooking materials and even a bottle of rakia (as Bulgarians, who love drinking rakia, this was pretty great)! There was even a beach umbrella in the room! Despite the mentioned 15:00-18:00 check-in time, you canarrive at any time and collect the keys from a lockbox, after contacting the host, who always replied quickly in the "contact the owner" chat, and was very helpful throughout the journey with various questions we had!

Beautiful and thoughtfully built and decorated apartment in a very quiet neighborhood which was perfect for a great night’s sleep after touring all day. Beds were very comfortable and overall nice experience felt like a suite in a luxury hotel with all the amenities of a home. Included access to private In ground pool. Short walk to beach and longer walk to Limani. Plenty of parking.

Overall Impression: We stayed at Atrium Ambiance for 5 nights (July 17–22), and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is quiet, relaxed, and perfect for couples—a peaceful retreat with very few young children around. Room & Amenities: Our room was exceptionally clean and quiet, with daily housekeeping doing a thorough job. We were thrilled to receive a room upgrade featuring a private balcony with a Jacuzzi! The bed was very comfortable, there was a spacious closet, and having two espresso capsules replenished daily was a great touch. Food & Dining: We had both breakfast and dinner included, and both were outstanding. The menu changed daily, offering a great mix of local and international dishes. There was always a huge selection of fresh vegetables, spreads, fresh bread, soups, fruits, ice cream, and cakes. They are also extremely accommodating with food allergies and special requests. Location & Parking: The location is ideal—it's very close to the Old City, making it easy to explore while remaining peaceful at night. If you're driving, there is plenty of free parking in the area. Pool & Atmosphere: The hotel pool was immaculate, calm, and never overcrowded—a great place to unwind. The Staff: What truly sets this hotel apart is the incredible team. The staff feels like a big, welcoming family who are genuinely happy to help. Whether it was giving local trip recommendations, assisting with travel agency arrangements, or catering to dietary needs, they were always kind, attentive, and professional.

We got the room upgrade for free. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. All staff is very friendly and helpful.

What I did like the most was the people and the general atmosphere. Every evening there was an event that captivated both the adults and the children. Everyone from my family wants to make a re-do in the future.

Location is excellent, right at the beach, 10-15 min walk to the old town while not too crouded. Free parking on the street. Two buldings two pools. The breakfast was generous, and really everyone was kind and helpgul and smiling. I felt the most important person for them, every time I was talking to someone. I wanted to book for the weekend too but they were sold out. Wondering why ;)

Great place for families! We had a fantastic experience there. Great staff, really nice pools, good food, perfect location - walking distance to beach, old town. Our kids (5 & 7) loved it, made new friends and had so much fun at the nighttime entertainment. The room was great and had everything we needed for our stay.
