The Staff is very friendly, helpful. The location of the hotel is unique, in fact it is located alone in the middle of a grassland, 300 m far from the ocean. There is no light pollution, ideal place for Polar Light hunters -even we were not lucky as, both of the evenings the sky was cloudy, at least we were able to sleep all night. From culinary point of view it was the best kitchen we met in Iceland. Local and rural foods were served both for breakfast and for dinner. Orgy of tastes, really.

The new building next to the main one is much better in terms of quality, bedding and coming with a private bathroom. Breakfast is included pretty decent considering such a remote area, The price is very attractive although its located 2 miles off Hwy 54., no big deal. Staff is friendly.

We stayed at 11 properties on our Ring Road trip and the Bjarg was our favorite one! It was extremely comfortable. The host had thought of everything including a Bluetooth speaker and a memory foam mattress. The apartment was a ship captain’s home at one time and the owners retained that feel; a place for everything and everything in its place. In the morning we met the host and she showed us the hot tub. We hope to come back and use it someday!
