The stay in Xilu Xiaoxie inn was exceptional for us. The host, Cici was so wonderful, she helped us with everything we needed ! Even to buy tickets on tran to Dali. The beds were very comfortable, the sheets were heated, so we weren't cold, she also gave us an additional heater and thanks to it the room was warm, though the nights are still cold here in March ( note, that there is no central heating in Lijiang). They have two beautiful big dogs, my daughter loved them, a pretty patio, tasty breakfast ( it is either rice noodles soup, or bao Zi with rice porridge). The inn is located in the old city, so you need to walk and carry your luggage from the gate, the cars are not allowed in. The surroundings are very pretty with small shops and restaurants all around.

We stayed here for 3 nights, the location is very good and convenient. it remains quiet in the bustling ancient town. We had rice noodles for breakfast in the restaurant next door which was included in the room and tasted great.

The girls were really welcoming, offered tea ceremony when we arrived and every time when we met at the reception desk! The breakfast was so delicious! They have a choice of Chinese (not spicy) and European. And they offered even free room upgrade because we stayed 8 nights there 🥹 They helped us to find where to eat or how to get somewhere. The room had different light scenarios, heated floor and was clean and instagrammable. At the last day they printed a photo of us in front of the hotel and gave us as a gift! Thank you so much!

The room we stayed in was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The facilities were excellent and suitable for our needs. The location of the hotel is right in the center of the old town. We were able to walk to many of the main attractions, making this room convenient base for exploring the city. We were impressed by the owner. She was welcoming, attentive to our needs, and went out of her way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We particularly enjoyed the local breakfast that the owner took us to. Thanks again for everything Sisi :D

The staff was incredible - kind, attentive, helpful. There was a language barrier, but that was navigated with phone apps and using the bits of shared language we had. The room and garden outside were beautiful and comfortable - inspiring relaxation. The location was also nice because it was close enough to the tourist spots that we could walk (20 minutes to the “Ancient City”, but still far enough away to be quiet. Also a series of good restaurants near the hotel, so always good choices to eat. Finally, there were many adorable animals - Gary the dog, the pudgy male cat, a lovely Siamese and three perfect kittens - all friendly and non intrusive, they were there if you went to them but never pushed into your space. A splendid way to complete a family friendly hotel.

We highly recommended this homestay to everyone who is coming to Lijiang for the first time. This was actually the highlight of our trip. When we got to the place it was already close to midnight, we were tired but the host greeted us so warmly with hot tea and traditional rose cakes (that she continued to offer us the next days). They helped us with booking cars to travel between Lijiang and other tourist destinations. The homestay itself is situated in a perfect location, accessible to all parts of Lijiang Old Town by foot. It is also very cozy and warm, clean rooms and towels. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

The hosts Carol and Johnson were extremely accommodating with our late check-in, going out of their way to help. They were also extremely helpful in our questions about local customs and requirements providing us with very helpful information. The room we stayed in was beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfast was varied and delicious.

This locally owned, family run Inn is a fantastic choice for foreign travelers who want an authentic experience in Shuhe (Lijiang). The Old Town of Lijiang is an UNESCO site and is comprised of Dayan Old Town, Baisha, and Shue. I prefer this tiny town (3,000 people) to the busy town of Lijiang (total about 1.2M people). This cozy inn is located near the South entrance of Shuhe ancient town, a totally walkable town with restaurants, shops, and gardens. Maple Leaf Inn is a great place to meet other travellers; as well as a place to book your day trips to popular sites like Tiger Leaping Gorge and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. If you are too tierd to look for a breakfast or dinner spot after a long day of exploring- no problem, they have a full kitchen and can suggest lots of options for meals. You can also arrange a pickup and drop off at the airport/train station with this property. I initially communicated with them through Booking dot com, but afterwards communication is easier if you have Whatsapp or Wechat.

    We stayed here in 2020 and it was a second time for us. We loved Eden Court and its host Hui. It is a luxury to enjoy a private garden during our stay. Nothing is better than just enjoying the sunshine in Lijiang.

    It was right in the middle of old town, but far away from the bars and restaurants so quite quiet, right next to a stream so felt like staying in nature to some extent. Had our own private courtyard though didn’t use much as spent most of the time outside wandering. Owner was super nice and gave us tips about restaurants to try (and to avoid as tourist traps).
