The owner, Paul, is an excellent host and very good cook. He makes his own bread, jam, marmalade, fruit juices from his the products of his beautiful garden. He cooked us an evening meal of pork with a juniper sauce and potatoes which was perfect. Breakfast was also excellent.. Max, his dog is very friendly and he also has parking g for a motorcycle in his barn. Much better than any chain hotel. Thank you Paul.

When I arrived late night, Mr. Venos and his family invited me to watch the football match ENG - ITAL. They were so hospital, they offered me home made pastry, beverages and we had an interesting conversation. The hosts are very nice people. Although, some of the renters seem to have problems with opening the door, it was very easy and worked right away. It was self-explanatory. But Mr. Venos also send an instruction. The room was very clean, the toilet and the shower were next door. Venos rooms are very close to the Colorline station, it can easily be reached on foot.

Ideally situated for the ferry port, but in a peaceful location, surrounded by fields, Fuglsang was the perfect place to stay. Our hosts couldn’t not have been more welcoming, and what interesting people they both were (go and see the penny-farthing rider, going nowhere, in the field beside the house!). The breakfast was copious, delicious, freshly prepared, and with loads of choice, and the beds were comfortable and gave us a great night’s sleep
