The buffet breakfast was nice. Our dinner was fantastic, except it was a bit expensive. We stayed in the family unit which was complete with a nice and well-equipped kitchen. The living area was big with dining table. The hotel is beside the beach which is very nice and beautiful.

We stayed in one of the 3 cottages. Three bedrooms/two baths (one bedroom is in a loft). Nice common area. Full kitchen. Waterfall in the back. We went in winter so it was frozen, but still beautiful. If you're staying in a cottage you do need to check in at the hostel down the road so be sure and email them ahead. They have a restaurant a few blocks away that is delicious and they sell hand knitted authentic Icelandic sweaters there, too. About 20 minute drive from the lagoon/Diamond Beach. Highly recommend.

The room is beautiful with a big glass window looking at the green fields and the mountain with waterfall behind you. The brakefast was great, and it included some Icelandic traditional dishes such as lamb pate and skyr.

Guest house Kálfafellsstadur is located in by the Route 1 Ring Road, a 17-minute drive from Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon. It offers brightly decorated rooms with free WiFi access and garden views.

One of our favorite places to stay on this trip!!! Such a nice room, and the shared bathrooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast was amazing, with waffles, homemade jams, smoked salmon, etc.
