The train station is a ten minute walk through a beautiful quiet neighborhood.

With quiet street views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The great Torii is 600 metres away and Itsukushima Shrine Treasure Hall is 800 metres from the guest house. Firstly the host was really welcoming and nice. It’s quite unique to be able to talk to a local so much :) The room was big with comfortable beds and more than enough space. The breakfast was really good (especially the coffee which we found hard to find any other place) The hotels location was ideal for us as it’s close to the ferry, the Main Street and all of the main attractions. The price is a bit steep, but absolutelly worth it!

Overall this was better than some private accommodations I have stayed in the past. The hostel room only has 6 beds. The bathrooms were clean and specious. Really enjoyed. Bed was nice after sleeping on wood tile for 3 days.

It is a pity that cables are in this view as seen from the rooms but you can go up on the flat roof for an unobstructed view. It is not very far on a nearly flat road to the ferry to Onomichi so it makes a good last night if you are cycling from Imabari taking several days as we did. We had a comfort Japanese style room.

We were quite sad we only got to spend one night there, wish we could enjoy Onomichi and the Guest house a few days more!
