We stayed for one night in a one bedroom houseboat. The boat itself was lovely, the staff excellent, and the food fantastic. I especially appreciated the company’s service to buy drinks to take on board with you! Not all companies do that. Highly recommend this company to book with. The prices are higher than some others but the service and quality are well worth it.

The boat was traditional and very well maintained with clean bathrooms, good size bedrooms with AC, and amazing common areas including an upper deck. The food and service by Mahesh, Vipin and Prince were outstanding, and the Kerala backwaters are stunningly serene and beautiful.

We had a fabulous stay and its our first time in boat house and we din’t find any boat attractive than ours. We will be coming back again and we can’t imagine travelling in another boat than this. They have excellent staff and they took care of us so well. We felt like being in home. Thanks for this awesome experience.

Our Royal Houseboats stay had some definite positives. The staff was kind and attentive throughout our time onboard, providing good service with friendly attitudes. The views of the backwaters were pretty, offering peaceful scenes of local life along the shores. However, our main disappointment was spending so much time docked rather than actually cruising - we had hoped to explore more of the waterways. While it was a pleasant enough experience, the limited cruising time left us wanting more from our backwater adventure. If you're considering booking, just be aware that you might spend more time stationary than sailing.

    Tried to accommodate needs of western family - one not spicy dish especially for us at dinner. Good value - one of the cheapest house boats we found and was still good. Provided a little more a/c than was promised. Fairly clean. A good trip. Optional extras like short canoe trip to village available. Helped with onward plans - kayaking.
