This was an amazing place to stay. The host, Frank was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure I had a great stay. He even took me to the airport and assisted with getting food, pesos and some beverages. As a female travelling alone, this was very appreciated and I felt very safe.

We stayed for two nights to check out on Puerto Plata. Staff was very nice and even send us all the stuff around like sightseeing spots, restaurants, etc. Breakfast was very good as well as the room (Junior Suite). The city is reachable within 5 minutes by car. Restaurants and supermarket can be reached by foot in only 5 min. PERFECT!

Danièle is exceptionally helpful, friendly, and welcoming. She goes out of her way to answer any questions you might have, both before and after you have arrived. I arrived in the afternoon of Christmas Eve. She gathered some solo travelers from the hotel and took us for a drive and walk around town. Then she managed to find one of the few restaurants that were open, where we all had a lovely meal together. The hotel is very cozy and homey, with a large rooftop, a terrace, and a garden.

Everything was perfect. The place is sparkling clean and lovingly taken care of. The hosts, Wildry and Juan, are the best. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Wildry got in touch with me right after I reserved the place and remained in touch until we completed our stay. She welcomed us with open hands when we arrived and provided us with a big water can and a welcome basket with fruits and treats. What a nice gesture!! She also provided us great travel suggestions, weather info, and arranged rides to get to various sights, which made us feel very safe. Juan gave us a ride to the San Felipe fort, even after a long workday, which was greatly appreciated. THANKS to Wildry and Juan, Puerto Plata now has a special place in our hearts.

Omg most amazing vacation my family had everything was 100%amazing the owner Esmeralda omg can’t finish saying how wonderful she is, she took care off all our needs even our reservation for dinner our transportation to and from the airport she’s very flexible with our checking in and out of the property. The staff members was the best. They made our vacation the very best we ever had. The staff was always ready to help especially this young man Anderson who was there making sure we had everything we needed. I am so happy with the service we got at peninsula Esmeralda my family and I returning in the summer. Omg let’s talk about the chef’s no one cook up a Dominican breakfast like chef Felix and his assistant they was amazing they came in early did all the preparation for my brother birthday breakfast they did everything on time with a full course breakfast

Loved how nature was part of this location in a good way. The grounds are beautiful for walks and exploring. The house in villa 1 was so cozy, perfect for a couple. The breakfast was good and they even celebrated my boyfriends birthday.

    The villa is quite beautiful, even if a bit old. The swimming pool and the garden are really good to relax in and the whole place is quiet (perfect to disconnect). The breakfast was nice, and the owner was always available to answer any question we had. The location is also good, in a walking distance to the center of the city.
