The location was perfect for our stay the night before catching our flight. The shuttle service was free and we were so impressed when the shuttle driver pulled over shortly after leaving the hotel and we found out that the reason was that I left my luggage scale in the hotel room and a staff member found it and ran it out (across a busy road) and handed it to the driver. The staff were all super friendly, helpful and could speak English which we did not expect. The pool area was lovely and the food at the restaurant was very good, reasonably priced and served quickly.

The rooms were basic but impeccably clean, ‘dinner plate’ clean. Not just in a sanitary way, but in the quality of the tile work, walls, etc.
From the roof terrace, Beautiful views of a green valley of plantain trees and mountains beyond. Not city activities and noises.
Location next to airport made it ideal for an early morning departure.

The place is perfect for couples, full of romance and nice views of nature everywhere . It is a beautiful place to relax, lay back and chill . The food is excellent and a very country style makes you feel right at home. It is like your own private village full of staff only for you. This place is owned by a couple who have been married for over 40 years. They are humble and friendly and love to help people out .

I love Dominican Republic.
I love Dominican Republic. I have family members that I visit. There are a lot of places to sightsee, even just visiting the monument is a glorious view and a good day. Just be mindful of the drivers as they are literally sometimes not going by the light however, as you’re there you get into with how traffic flows. Eatery is everywhere. there are a lot of pool places like Cascada Park and there’s also in the ranch which has had a bit of a renovation so that’s cool to see their other places that have private pools not for the public that you can pay a small fee to enter. They have also made a new mall which I hear has a they have also made a new mall which I hear has a lot of Americanized stores as well. There is so much more like the cathedral as well. I can’t think of it all, but I know overall I love going to Santiago!

The city of Santiago itself is to congested. There are not enough roadways to accommodate the population of the city. I do like the mountains outside the city however I would not recommend a stay in the city itself. The summer months are extremely hot and the smog in the air is not healthy. There are some good restaurants in the city. I enjoyed some of the night clubs and the entertainment. The government administration should work towards better public transportation and more of a police presence in order to promote more tourism.
