My family and I stayed at Casa Verde for a week in San Cristóbal and it was perfect! The view from the property was great. Great sunsets and view of the wave at El Canyon. I also liked being away from town center because it was very peaceful. It was also across the street from a great local restaurant and walking distance to Punta Carola and the Interpretation Center. Great having a kitchen with fridge and coffee maker. Beds were very comfortable and Air Conditioning made it very nice at night. Hosts Ashleigh and her husband Geovanny were awesome. Ashleigh texted me frequently to make sure everything was going well. She also set up tours for anything we asked. Geovanny hosted my family and I for a tour of their farm. My wife studies plants and Geovanny was very knowledgeable about them and cattle! We enjoyed the tomatoes and fresh squeezed orange juice. There was a small old church and some of the best ocean views I have ever seen. Highly recommended!

The bed was comfy and the lady working there was very nice. I was allowed to use her kitchen to make dinner. There was snorkel equipment available to rent for $3 a day. There was water to drink and the wifi worked well. There were towels to use as well.

Our room with a kitchenette was massive! The air conditioning worked really well. The view was beautiful, and even though it's not directly in the central plaza, it was only an 8ish minute walk to the dock, Playa Mann, and the central "city." The owner is lovely and even though we messed up and missed the check out time, she was gracious.

*Very helpful staff for information. *Location. With a few dollars you can get to the centrum so do not need to pay double price for central hotels. San Cristobal is very tiny city. 20 minutes walk to everywhere. *Very clean *Comfy Beds *Clean and large bathroom *Some comments say that there is so noise but I can say confidently that it is very quiet place. *the weather is cool enough. So we did not need AC.

The owners picked me up from the airport that was a big plus. La Casa de Amelia place is a super clean and comfortable, snorkeling gear ready to use, good a/c, filtrated water for drinking. I was very happy with my stay.

I wish I could give this property more than a 10. it’s the best place I have stayed at in years. Nelly the owner is the most wonderful person and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. From picking you up at the ferry/airport to dropping you off everything is PERFECT. Her breakfasts are the best, the Hostal is spotless and so beautiful. I doubt I will ever find a place as welcoming as Hostal Cann’s House

The BEST hostel. Air conditioning, hot showers, big rooms with storage space, comfy beds, clean with daily housekeeping, filtered drinking water, free breakfast every morning on a beautiful terrace, walkable to the main part of town but far enough removed for quiet, laundry available, quick communication. But best of all, the hostel hosts Trudy and Ivan were the most wonderful people and completely made our stay. Ivan has lived his whole life on San Cristobal and worked as a fisherman, and Trudy is descended from the first descendants of Floreana Island (also in the Galapagos). They are so kind and friendly, helped us with information and recommendations, and we so appreciated getting to learn about them and their story. If you stay at Hostal Cattleya, you support a true local family. We love you Trudy and Ivan!
